Hi,
I'm Paul, this is the first time that we have had chickens, 6 hyline browns.They are all named and so we don't mistake them they wear different coloured leg bands.Orange-Pearl, navy- Biddy, purple- Ivy, Yellow-Henrietta, Light blue- Millicent and last black for Winifred. We have foxes so their coupe is built with that in mind wire is buried 600mm under ground, so they can't dig under. we close their door every night, saying good night by name to each.[I don' know if they like it as much as I do]. We have a large free range pen that they spend the day in. It has our vege garden in it each bed is penned so as to keep them out or they would eat everything. Can't think of anything better, gardening and chatting to the chooks. Love the web site and look forward to exploring it and learning about the in's and out's of the chook world
