My daughter and I are the proud new chick mommas of 4 beautiful baby girls! Claire and Dottie are Amberlinks, Bess is an Australorp, and Rosalina is an ISA Brown.
We are new to chickens but ya gotta start somewhere, right?
They are currently living in our guest bathroom with plans to move in to a beautiful playhouse that has been converted to a henhouse!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes. Last Saturday
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 4
(3) What breeds do you have? Australorpe, ISA Brown, Amberlink
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Not sure yet
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Cooking, Running, needlepoint, Gardening
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My husband and I have a sweet/supersmart/challenging little girl. We have a red tabby rescue cat named Willis that we saved after Hurricane Katrina (15 yrs old), a Heinz 57 rescue pup named Evey Roux who we now know has some type of herding breed in there somewhere, and now our 4 baby girls, Bess, Dottie, Claire, and Rosie. I have a freelance bookkeeping service and a weekly meal prep business where I prep food weekly and deliver.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC while searching for pics of my little chickees poop
