Hi from hawthorne (Southern California)

Hi! I am a single homeschooling mom with four amazing children ages 2, 3 and twin 6 yr old's and aftr much reading and prep we welcomed our first six chickens into our family about 3 weeks ago -- all new little chicks from Mypetchicken.com! We are all over the moon about them and they are very very doted upon with daily snuggles, rides in Cozy Coups, trikes, doll strollers and home made baby carriers along with daily supervised outings in our backyard (their brooder is in the garage). We live in a beach city near Los Angeles. I've been lurking on this site literally for years as I have pinned over having my own backyard flock, bust finally made my own profile today!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! Love my broods I pulled up a list and short bios of historial influential women and my kids chose the names based on that! Eventually they will do full biographies on each one. Ahhh the joys of homeschooling! And yes, Lomita feed store was part of our suppliers
