Hiya! We live in Kent (UK) and have 3 hybrid chickens: Poppy (Mendlesham Blue), Daisy (Pied Suffolk) and Buttercup (Fenning Black), they are all 5 months old. Daisy has been broody off and on since she became an adult so we now gave her 10 fertile eggs (Light Sussex) to sit on, in a seperate run. She is doing well and is a very dedicated mum, so we hope to expand our chicken family soon...

Hi! Welcome from California. Those three breeds are new to me as well. I would love to see pictures! Did Daisy lay any eggs of her own before sitting on the Sussex eggs? She must have very strong instincts. A good mama!
