Hi! I just joined this group today and what a great group of people! I'm new to raising chickens.
We got three chicks at the end of March when they were just a day old and have learned a ton since that first day, but still want to know all I can to give my chickens a good life. We have two leghorns; a dark (Frankie) and a white (Sunshine)and then a Rhode Island Red (Gabby who definitely lives up to her name).
I also have 3 rescue dogs, a rescue cat, and 4 kids (24, 22, 13, 12). I'm a teacher by trade, a writer by passion and I make custom dollhouses by hand for clients who enjoy them.
I stumbled upon you guys because I was looking for an answer as to whether my chicken was a rooster or a hen and I got so many wonderful answers right away! Frank is a Frankie apparently.
