Hi! My wife and I are new chicken owners, located in West Michigan. We have loved the thought of raising chickens for some fresh eggs. We finally went all in this year, built a new coop, and ordered 8 barred rocks.

I've looked up quite a bit on this forum already, thought it would be a good idea to join!

Welcome! I'm a bit west of Lansing, and have had chickens for a long time. They are fun!
Check the Michigan thread, and the Chickenstock thread, we are having our annual pot luck and swap June 23, at a park on the west side of Lansing. It's fun, and a chance to network and meet other crazy 'chicken people', and have a good lunch. Playtime for the kids too. Mary
