Thanks for the very warm welcome, I'll totally check out Chickenstock, I live in Kane PA.

Funny thing about the neighbors dog, she's very friendly to any human she may encounter, it's just anything with four legs smaller than her that she has a problem with, but on the upside, she did take care of a particularly annoying chipmunk last year. She's a whole 11lbs of Yorkie/Dauschund....

We have been to tractor supply, I go there about twice a month to get bedding for my Guinea Pigs and Rats, plus other supplies we need. My daughter LOVED the chicks, and they even let her hold a duckling, she was tickled pink!

I agree with the "good fences make good neighbors" theory. Also if you stick with hens you don't have the noise issue that could create more drama.
