We got our first girls at the beginning of summer. We started with three; a barred rock, leghorn, and buff Orpington
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have five laying hens and a mother hen with four chicks
(3) What breeds do you have?
Two Australorps, Andelusian, Buff Orpington, Barred Rock, Leghorn, Americana and four chicks that are mixed breeds

My best friend
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Crocheting, sewing, travel, reading, singing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have seven children, seven grandchildren, a wonderful husband and I just retired from teaching.

Hi everyone. I need help. My leghorn is sick. She is lethargic and won’t eat, but does like to drink a lot. She has runny white, yellow and green stool and has lost feathers on her neck and rump. She had begun to lose the feathers before she got sick and I thought she was molting. I am so scared of salmonella. I’ve given her a warm bath and tried to feed her mush. Advice?
