Hi from Shirecroft!

Hello! A friend told me about this forum, and I am looking forward to learning all I can, as well as sharing my 'so far' limited experience. We have been building our farm since last fall and currently have 4 horses, 2 angora goats, and 11 chickens. Happily for me, of the 11, only one appears to be a rooster! My husband, who had claimed all the males for dinner, is not so happy! Anyway, we are just west of Mt Airy, NC. We've spent the last two years book-learning, but it's nothing like living the life!

Welcome! I'm new here too, but we are urban chicken raisers. I wish we had a farm! Sounds like you're doing what we want to be doing in the future. Hubs and I both were raised in the country, and now that we are in town we dream of going back.
