In addition to my 3 leghorns, 2 black australorps and 5 ducks, I just picked up 3 each of buff orpingtons and black sex links on Wednesday. So I am reallying going to have to get into "stealth mode". cool Right now the birds are on the far side of the yard and garage where the jerk neighbor can't see. The other neighbors are cool with my birds and bees, so no worries there.
The only thing that concerns me is the 2 leghorn roos. I hope they never learn to crow! lol
Anyway, back to building my chicken tractor...it's disquised as a raised bed planter.
LOL ... I don't know HOW you keep in "stealth" mode with that many. LOL I have to move my roos ASAP as they are learning to crow and I can't keep a rooster here if I want to keep my girls ... the roos will certainly break our "stealth" cover.
I'm already starting to hear the boys in the EARLY morning, praying the neighbors can't yet. Since I have 1 home lined up for one of the roos, that means I only have to find 1 more home. Not fun since I'm loving ALL my chicks at this point and parting with them will be hard.
But at least the 1 roo and 2 girls are going to my cousin, so we should be able to keep updated on them and see them from time to time.
