My name is Michelle. We live in East Texas. My husband and I have 5 kids and have talked about raising chickens for years. We just never had the time with both working. But thanks to this virus...I'm now a stay at home mom with 4 kids to homeschool (plus a baby). But we are home now and this was a great opportunity for us to get started and a great way to have some hands on science for the kids. We currently have 6 guineas (4weeks) and 11 barred rock chicks(5 days). We have all really enjoyed them. Everytime I have googled something about taking care of them, this group comes up and I always love the advice and wisdom I've found here. Hope to learn enough that I can pass some on in the future to other new chicken Mama's!
