really interesting to readI saw the chickens the guys had at the farm, and he only had rhode island reds and cuckoo marans, maybe the other 2 are a mix?
Also, how do you guys know that Basil is a roo and Cadbury a pullet, and what makes you think Ringo is more a roo?I can see easily that Harley looks like a roo, but Basil not as much. Are you guys 100% sure Basil is a roo or is it just a guess?

You can't really be 100% sure at this age, but Basil's comb is SO red at 3 wks that he is almost definitely a rooster.
I said Ringo was a roo because his comb looks very red in his last picture. Not to mention they're pretty sparsely feathered for 3 wks.
Pullets often get distinct wing feathers by 2 wks, as well as starting to lose some fluff, whereas cockerels usually look fluffy, gangly, big-legged, and wattles showing.
Harley and Basil already have their wattles showing. I can't see Ringo's wattles very well.
We could do with some more close-ups of them in a few weeks!
