Hi I’m Mike, living in Adelaide

Welcome to BYC! This is a great community with lots of advice and support.

None of my ISA Browns have ever roosted, I suspect they slept in their nesting boxes at the battery farm. It doesn’t bother me, I do a daily poo clean up in both houses so they’re not sitting around and laying in it.

New to this site although had chickens for a few years on and off. Small numbers as previously was in the ‘burbs but now in rural environment so started with 4 and will increase numbers as I convert more sheds! Got our chickens as pets for our 3 year old as well as for eggs. New ISA Browns want to sleep on floor and lay eggs in their coop (see thread)
Hi Mike :frow

I'm in Adelaide too :celebratedown near the port. At my place there's a Barnevelder, an Australorp, a blue bantam, and a golden laced young almost-hen (still waiting on her first egg).

On the rare moments when I'm free but not sleeping, I write about them on my thread MJ's little flock. Come along and chip in your stories if you want.

WoollyAnvil is an interesting name. You wouldn't know Wayne Bickley by any chance? He's into smithing.

:welcome
