Mansheim flock
In the Brooder
Hi, my name is Cheyenne and I am new to chickens! We just got 5 Rhode Island Red chicks yesterday, they are about 2 weeks old. We are very excited to start this adventure! My husband had chickens (and other animals) growing up. I, on the other hand, had no idea where to start. After a little online research I found this site.
We live in Montana with our 3 year old son, 2 dogs, and one cat. I am a stay at home mom and my husband works for the railroad. We both have a love for animals and have passed the affection on to our son. He is so smitten with our chicks already. We can’t wait to see how things progress and to decide if more chickens are in our future!

To share the joy of chickens you are definitely in the right spot. Love the Rhode Island Reds. Nothing stops those girls from Laying. never seen such big eggs. My neighbor calls them turkey eggs. Lol Post some pics of your fluffy butts! keep us posted on your Adventure and enjoy. As a chicken owner sometimes I feel like I wouldn’t know what to do without backyard chickens
Hiya Cheyenne and
We are glad you joined our flock.
