Hi, I am Cheyenne

G'Day from down under Cheyenne :frowWelcome and Congratulations! :clap

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Please do check out the Topic of the Week discussions Pork Pie mentioned. I have found these to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock and/or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

Welcome! My grandpa is very partial to rhode island reds, so I made sure to get a few too, I got 3 chicks already last week and a dozen eggs to put in my incubator tomorrow. Those are the main breed we used to have when we used to have chickens. (About 10 years ago was the last time we had any, before that always!)
I hope yours do great for you, show us a pic of your little cuties. :)

Yup,they looks a lot like some of mine! How adorable :)
here in the desert southwest I thought it was warm enough to put my chicks out, I have had some brahmas out for a few weeks already, and planted potatoes. Moved all my house plants out, the nights have been a balmy 45 to 55 for 2 weeks now. All of a sudden tomorro is supposed to be record breaking 28! My poor plants, and I will either have to bring a lot of the littler chicks back in or maybe a heat lamp...I don't know how you guys in Montana or other cold places even do it! :)

The high today was 37 low of 28 and windy. It doesn’t usually stay that cold this long. It was a rough winter.
