You'll find you can click on many things. There's a FAQ link at the very bottom of the page, in the brown footer, that answers a lot of basic questions about the forum. If you can't figure something out, go to the BYC Website forum and ask, or check out the stickies (links to threads and articles in the blue box at the top of the page.)
