I had one of my chickens crop burst. I cleaned and glued it together. She’s drinking water and had scrambled eggs this morning, but she smells bad like she has an infection. What can I give her?

Welcome from New Orleans. Let's see if we can get someone who knows about chicken antibiotics over here to help.Oh wow... that's bad. @casportpony would amoxicillin work for this? Or would they need something stronger?I had one of my chickens crop burst. I cleaned and glued it together. It’s not a sour smell it’s definitely an infection. I looked through posts and administered 1 cc of antibiotics.Welcome to the BYC!
What do you mean by burst..? Can you please send some pictures? If it smells sour, it's likely a yeast infection and will need to be treated with miconozole. Otherwise, she likely has an active infection and will need antibiotics.
It started as a sour crop. I was massaging it, and I thought it was getting smaller. But she was scratching at it and I believe she scratched it open. How did her crop burst? Was she eating altoids and pepsi or something??? I've never heard of crops exploding like that... Did she have an on going yeast infection previous to the 'explosion'?
