(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've had chickens for a year and a half. Got my first chickens in March of 2020.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
36 ish
(3) What breeds do you have?
Silkie, cochin, wyandotte, Sussex, sebright, polish, salmon faverolle, brahma, ameraucana, bielefelder, maran, sapphire gem, Rhode Island red, Easter egger, olive egger, cream legbar, ophington,spitzhauben, and I think that's all
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Fresh eggs and they are great for mental health!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Nature walks and my four doggos
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My boyfriend and I have 4 dogs, 3 cats, and 3 bunnies inside and over 40 birds in the backyard. Only due to my last duckling hatch. 14 out of the 15 ducklings will be rehomed.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
