I got four little baby giant cochin chickens one is gray one is brown one is hunny colored and the other is yellow... My oldest son nocked over my box I have them in and poor little hunny got her foot stuck under the food tray (which is o e of those round metle ones with holes all round) now she is limping and lays dwn alot... Is there a chance she only sprained it? She uses it still and it I pick her up n look at it she do t fuss... Any help would help thanks .... And she still bosses the other three around...

Oh, I am so sorry about Hunny! As long as it is not broken, and you would be able to see it or parts of the foot dangling, then it should be ok. You say she can still get around on it...then it is probably just bruised. But if she has the energy to boss the others around and heal, then she should be fine. There isn't much you can do and I wouldn't separate her as she will only panic and pace around. Keep an eye on her and she should heal in a few days.

Enjoy your new babies! They grow so fast. But soon the eggs will becoming....another enjoyable time in your chicken keeping life.

Well thank u and would you have any suggestions on a good breed to mix in with my baby's I wanna get like four more baby's soon but can't decide wat would go good with them.

I hope the chick recovers soon! TwoCrows gave some good advice.

Easter Eggers tend to be very calm and friendly around people and chickens (in my experience). Out of all the breeds I've had, my Easter Eggers have been the least aggressive towards my other chickens, so they are an option. They also add in some nice colors to your egg basket!

True Ameraucanas are hard to come by, so we have EEs. They're a great breed.
