I am not new to owning and or raising chickens.
As far as chickens I only currently have 3 silkies as bobcats & wild tom cats ate the rest of my flock last yr.
I am ordering between 75-125 new chicks the first week of March.
I live on a small 12 acre farm.I have a husband and a 13 yr old son left at home. My 3 other children have grown.My sons are both serving time in the Army.Oldest son will deploy in July this yr. Second son is now in Iraq and should be home end Nov. this yr.
My animals and pets consist of 5 horses 3 big,2 mini's,1 bull , 4 steers,and 1 heifer.Im raising her to hopefully be a future milk cow.I want to make butter and cheeses.I have 15 rabbits,5 dove,6 pigeons,1 wild baby hog,2 bloodhounds,1 red heeler,2 big pyranese anatolian cross guard dogs.2 cockateils,4 canaries,1 hamster,and 1 bearded dragon.
I am a dog groomer and own my own business.
My hobbies are my animals and gardening both vegetable and flower.
I am currently trying to build a large koi pond.
I also love canning during different harvest times of the year and want to be more self suffient as this crazy world is changing so fast.
