My husband and I have been raising Barnevelders for 5 years now. We have 2 show quality bloodlines, the vB line (that is my line, named after my maiden name, van Barneveld) and the Kelly Cratty line. This summer was the first time to cross those 2 lines and we have 18, six week old chicks. I have been selling eggs and started chicks for 4 years now. I have a website that shows our flocks and a lot more. We also raise alpacas, make hats from the alpaca fleece, grow a sustainable vegetable garden and process (can, freeze and dehydrate) all the extra food for the winter. Our one pet is Boris, a mixed breed dog, that has become like one of our kids. We raised 5 children, have 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, all living out of state in California and Oregon. I am looking forward to making new friends and seeing new pictures by people who love the Barnevelder chicken.
