I am retired now, living in Derbyshire England with my husband, three dogs and my three new chickens. My birds are only 6 months old but laying well, they lay pale green eggs.
The breeder told me that my girls would lay about 300 eggs a year each so I am using the eggs for cakes, meringues and home made mayonnaise. As a family we have had chickens for years, but I'm always interested in new ideas regarding feeding and housing etc that other people have found to be beneficial to my small flock.

:welcome:hugs I'm assuming that you mean the site when you say "put stuff". If you look at the top of your screen tap/click forums, pick the forum most relevant to your topic, then hit "start new thread". It will take a couple days to get used to but then it gets easier. :)

Welcome! Lovely to have you at BYC! I have quite a bit of family in Leicestershire, so I've spent a little time around the Midlands. Never thought I'd miss English weather until spent winters in Maine, USA :p I hope you enjoy your time with BYC!

@Dawnclucks22 mentioned how to start a thread (i.e. discussion); a great way to solicit info from other users.

You can also click on the "Search" button on the top of the screen if there's a topic you're interested in learning about; chances are many questions you have have already been asked and answered. The results are the same as asking the question yourself except you don't have to wait for other users to reply :) I use the "search titles only" option to save time.

Home made mayo is one of our favorite things to make with the eggs! My sweetie has gotten pretty exotic as well using them in crepes, frittatas, hollandaise sauce, shakshuka... even Japanese-style marinated soft boiled eggs for udon bowls! So many fun things to do with eggs!
:wee
