I"m Hannan, and a couple weeks ago, my family bought six new chicks, three black sex links (mine to care for) and three yellow chicks that I forgot which species they are, but my sister, who's in charge of those, probably remembers. They're all hens, because we don't have a large enough estate to have roosters.
I kind of stumbled across this website a few years ago, when we bought eight pullets from a farmer. They were all different species, but they seemed to get along well enough. Seven died at the claws of local predators (Mom clipped their wings), and one dangled to death. This was spread out over the course of two years. I'm not really an expert on raising chickens, though, so I've been surfing the web looking for help. Before the pullets, we had some other chicks when I was four, but I can't remember the details, just that Dad's terrible chick care ended with a dead chick, and we had to return the surviving ones for their sake.
I love taking care of my chicks, but they're growing so fast! It's difficult to keep up with them, especially since I'm still a beginner. I also like writing and reflection and looking up life hacks and DIY projects. I'm still in school.

G’Day from down under Hannan :frow Welcome and Congratulations! :clap
