I have had chicken for over 30 Years I had 300 birds made up of Jersey Giant , Isa Browns, Buttercups,
Pheasants Ring neck Golden & common with Guinea & Pea fowl
Ducks Elizabeth , Abacot ranger , Saxony , Silver Appleyard, Cayuga .
We listed them all during our current fires so are looking for new ideas

If you want to continue having birds, there is a solution. Guinea pig cages are available in numerous sizes. Pick the largest you can comfortably grab in a hurry. Coturnix quail will give you eggs in two months. The eggs taste like chicken eggs, and are about a third the size. There are even scissors that will cleanly cut off the tops.
