Hi, my name is...

I blame TSC. I went in, minding my own business, when I heard it! The dreaded "peep peeping" of new chicks! Before I knew what had happened, my feet dragged me across the floor, and I was staring into a bin of the cutest little fuzz-butts ever hatched! DH was NO HELP at all! He just handed me a box and said "get what you want."

Well, we're a military family and lived in on post housing for years. The housing is kinda like packing sardines... LOTS of families packed into small town house type apartment buildings... My husband and I got tired of our neighbor’s children teasing our dogs, running their bikes into our cars and generally acting like the wonderful little darlings they are (note the sarcasm here!). In addition to this I missed living in the country and having WHATEVER pets we wanted like we did when I was a kid.
Long story short (too late) I made sure the realtor knew we wanted a property that we could have chickens on. Sure she looked at me like I was nuts, but she got used to the idea after a while! LOL I ordered the chicks the day we closed on our house and they arrived 13 days later.

Well gee ya'll...My name is Vicki and I'm a BYC addict as well...when I'm not on here reading and researching I'm outside with the chicken crew...

You know just how bad it is when your DH comes to the door with your dinner plate saying...here...Vic...Vic...Vic:weee

I know how TSC works.

We have a friend who finally explained to us that having chickens in your back yard really CAN work. It had always been a dream of mine. Weren't really sure if we would yet. After months of research and walking into TSC and playing with the little ones, we decided we would get chickens. Sadly, by the time we returned to TSC, Spot, my favorite, was gone as with all the others. So I ordered from my pet chicken. Can't wait!!!
