My third attempt to introduce myself, I have been running out of words, since want to make a good first impression on you lot. I have been reading articles on BYC from quite some time now finally joined the gang. It wasn't really easy to sign up, the login page won't let me sign up, so I ended up emailing BYC. After 4 email's they finally got me up and running. So my first thank you to BYC support if you are reading this.
We got chickens by accident really, Me and my partner were shopping and while going back home we came across a guy who was selling baby chicken's on the road side. The baby chicks were blue pink yellow orange green in color. They look so tired and thirsty in the 40 degree Celsius (105 F) some of them had fallen with neck down and eye's closed. So we decided to buy 4 of them. We were so excited We gave them water purchased millet gave them boiled rice and things that were suggested here on byc. We made a brooder by reading articles of you lot and they all gained weight very fast. We named them Rollo Gollu Cheeku Meeku. So everything was going great I was coming on BYC and reading articles about how to feed chickens and how to make brooder and all that chicken jazz. All of a sudden on 4th sunny day morning Orange chick was sick. We had no idea what went wrong as we were doing everything by the book. It was so sad to see the poor little guy not keeping well, not eating or drinking. It will fall backwards while walking or doze off. I literally read first 50 search pages of Google and byc articles to make sure I can help the poor little fellow.
I forced some water down his neck and gave him egg yolk as suggested in some of the articles. Walla.....in no time chick was up and running again and we were so happy. It was like him saying "Thank you" thank you for saving me and i am a happy camper again. We were oh yea so cool. Next morning the sun was hardly out and i could hear the chicks so I went up to the brooder and was shocked to see orange chick was even weaker then he was the day before! I could see lot of runny manure. I mean lot as if all of it came of this guy alone. Now it really got me worried. I wanted to run for help. So i tried to sign up for byc but I was out of luck. Anyway I came across more articles to give him very small amount of pro-bio tic yogurt from doing the egg yolk and water again but he was not able to recover. Some smart lady asked me to skip drops of olive oil down his throat that would help if he has chocked food pipe. I was like *** really? But the chances of him surviving were looking very weak and I was desperate enough to try and save him. So i tried everything I could to save him. We again recovered a little and started standing up again. We were now advised to separate him from rest of the baby's as they suggested me it could be coco something.....cocodias? ( Sorry If I mis spelled it).
I kept checking all night on the poor little thing to make sure he was okay. Next morning he was the same like the day before and I still couldn't sign up for byc this was getting very frustrated now! Since no vets here would see chickens and nobody keeps chicken medicine. So I decided to drive him all the way to chicken slaughter house. ( Okay hold your horses, I know what you are thinking!) These guys suggested me he wont survive and he had no chance. So i checked with multiple people if they keep any medicine or if they could tell me what was wrong with him. Nobody got a god dam clue!. On my way back home I donated the guy to a farmer who agreed to take good care of him.
Now I am left with Rollu Gollu and Cheeku. They seem to be doing fine now and they look healthy. They are getting in 2nd week now and they are very playful and absolutely love watermelon grapes and specially roaches. You wont believe what happens when they catch a roach! I would post pictures of my healthy babies for you guys and pray that Meeku is good and healthy where ever he is.

24 chickens?? How do you manage 24 I have hard time managing 3 LOL 
and Welcome To BYC! Sorry about the little Orange chick, glad the rest of them are doing well for you! You really did a good job caring for them, with having such a rough start to life being dyed and kept in those conditions, they are lucky to have found you for an owner.
