(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, about 3 weeks ago.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 9

(3) What breeds do you have? Supposedly all pullets from TSC: 1 white leghorn, 3 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Golden Comet, 1 Siena Star, 2 Cinnamon Queens

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Word of mouth

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Mary Kay Consultant, Gourd artwork, making acoustically accurate wind-chimes

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My Mom and I live together, I also have a cat (Yitz) and a dog (Suzie Q), I am 54 and living back home again as I have always wanted to do, mostly to help my Mom. I am severely overqualified for nearly any job in town, having a PhD in immunology. Right now I am also working as a cashier at our local grocery store. I am raising my very first chicks and they are 3x the size from when I got them only 3 weeks ago! I am also in the process of building them a larger brooder than the large plastic tub they are in now (they are now large enough to be fighting over space).

Hello and welcome! Cute chickens! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy mine. Yes, it definitely looks like they'll be needing a new brooder soon. They grow way too fast, don't they? :)
Yes! I intend to build a bigger one this morning as long as the weather permits, they are starting to fight over space, lol!
