Hi there! You can call me Island. I joined last spring, but I guess I forgot to introduce myself (oops)
I've had chickens for about 7 years now, though there have been times when I didn't have chickens. I currently have 5 chickens, two 2 year olds and three 7 month olds. I currently have:
1 Blue Australorp
1 Buff Orpington
1 Speckled Sussex
1 Blue Jersey Giant, and
1 Gold Laced Wyandotte.
I think that my favorite part of having chickens is that they can always cheer me up when I'm having a hard day. And the fresh eggs of course.
I also ride horses, draw, and read a lot.
I don't really feel comfortable sharing personal information online, so I mainly stick to chicken related things
I learned about BYC when I was researching some chicken related things (I don't remember what it was exactly) and I decided to join so that I could give back to this amazing chicken loving community!
