hi there! i'm kiz, this isn't my first run with chickens-but it is my first run with them *in city limits* so things are Very different :D

currently have a flock of 5, city limits us to 8 adult birds so in a few years we can expand again.

I live in a city too and have 6 small bantams. We (in the Netherlands) have no rules on hens as long as the chickens have enough space and are well taken care for.
Roosters within town boundaries are allowed as long as nobody complains. Here it’s always best to ask the neighbours in advance if a rooster is all right.

What breeds do you have?
Will you consider to buy hatchery eggs when you want more chickens? My neighbours always gave me enough time to give away the chicks that turn into cockerels.
