Hi There!

Fit for All Flocks - Houses up to 10 Hens

The Eglu Cube is the perfect hen house for all types of chicken keepers, whether you’ve got a large existing flock or have just started with a few hens but are already planning to expand.

The coop is perfect for the following flock sizes:

Up to 10 bantams or

Up to 8 medium size hens or

Up to 6 large breed hens

So, I'm thinking it should be able to hold 6 in each one.

If I'm reading it correctly it is only 3 ft by 3 ft which is 9 ft².
I wouldn't put more than three full size birds in it.

Unfortunately 99.9% of these prefab or already made little coops lie about how many birds it can hold.

A full size chicken needs about three or four square foot per bird.

Not having enough room for the birds to move freely in a coop will cause problems.

Well, we'll see how it goes...might have to invest in a 3rd one!

These prefabs are built to the specifications of factory farmed birds. Allowing them 1sqft of space each. Therefore when they say 10 birds, that's only if you want to keep them like battery hens.
They are not living there 24/7...just sleeping there...they will have the run of the garden in the daytime when it's safe for them to be out. We live in a cold climate....so packed in there all together hopefully will help to keep them warm

And my prefab claimed 8 standards could fit. I wouldn't put more than 4 very docile, light standards (like polish, absolutely nothing like an orpington) in it, and even then it would be quite cramped.

Packed in together usually creates cannibalism. They'd also be packed in there like sardines when the weather is bad. Raining, snowing, etc.
