(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We have had chickens for about 8 years, so I am not new to them!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Right now, we have 5 adult hens and 7 babies (14 weeks).
(3) What breeds do you have?
A random smattering! Copper Maran, Production Blue, Barred Rock, Easter Egger, Golden Comet, ISA Brown, Wyandotte, Silkie, and the prettiest, sweetest little yet-to-be-identified bantam.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are the sweetest pets! They bring our whole family so much joy! Plus... fresh eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Running, baking, playing guitar
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I have 4 kiddos (2 bio, 2 foster) and 2 cats. I am a middle school teacher, and my husband works in local government as a city manager.

I've been following forums here for years, and I keep wanting to ask my own questions or respond... decided it was time!
