Hello everyone! I'm a newbie on the site and wanted to say hello and introduce my chickens. My rooster is Gus but I call him Gussy Roo Roo because I talk to him when I feed and he purrs "roo roo" Henrietta was my first chicken (her mate was 
shortly after they arrived) she was by herself for awhile so I sat with her a lot and we have a special bond. Then came Roo Roo and Harriette. Here is where chicken math played it's role. I decided Harriette and Henrietta needed a couple more friends to cluck around with. Henlee and Hazel arrived shortly thereafter. They all have their own personalities from curious to motherly. Gussy Roo Roo will let them take food right out of his mouth, so for years he gets hand fed. He's my buddy. If a disagreement breaks it among the girls as they sometimes do, he's on top of things breaking things up and ensuring everyone gets along. Oh boy, I seem to be going on and on and on. I suppose this will suffice for now. Thanks for having us!!
