(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my first chickens last year in March 2022! Then I got more chicks a year later, March 2023!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 9 chickens... for now.
(3) What breeds do you have?
BR, Blue Andelusian, easter egger, olive egger, creme legbar, blue laced red wyandotte, lavender orp, delaware
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Calling them to come for treats!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am addicted to pole dancing and I enjoy top rope climbing ang yoga! I also spend time renovating our house and training my border collies.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My partner is the best and he builds spaces for the chickens like the outdoor run and a tractor.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I discovered BYC last year when I got my first 4 chicks and I decided to join because I am freaking out about not being able to tell if my hen is molting or has mites! I can't seem to figure it out!

from Central Texas! If you go out to the coop at night with a flashlight and look at the roosts you should be able to see them moving about. Or just check around your chickens vents, under wings, and around the neck. My light brahma went into molt a couple weeks ago, so that is also a possibility.
