What a pretty flock you have! I was just wondering if your little lone chick might have a hard time getting along with the older birds... she's likely to get picked on quite a bit and will probably be lonely and afraid if she doesn't have buddies her same age. Maybe you could get another one or two? They'll grow up together and be safer in their own mini sub-flock.

Yes, it's fine to mix ages of chicks within a few weeks of each other... and it's also totally possible to integrate youngsters as young as 4 wks with older birds, but usually they're accepted by fully mature members of the flock because they're not a threat. I could be mistaken by the pictures, but it looks like your older birds are just about reaching adolescence... a time when they're establishing pecking order and can get pretty aggressive, especially with smaller ones. You just might want to keep an eye out.
