I have enjoyed BYC in various social media outlets over the years this is my second flock, I took a break for a few years when I moved in 2018.
We have 6 hens: 2 Rhode Island reds, 1 black australorpe, 1 silver laced Wyandotte, and 2 barred rocks! They are very happy together. The silver is probably the queen of the group.
They are 1 year old in April.
For the first time I had the flock molting all at once . That was messy and we had full stop egg production coincident with that for about 8 weeks .
We have just started to produce again with two of them.
So my question for the crowd is coop floor material over dirt /grass
What is best?
We are in Tampa Florida !
Thanks!
