I am not really new to chicken raising. We (hubby and I) thought it would be a great idea teaching our daughter the responsibility of designing, building and construction of a chicken coop. That then taught her the responsibility of cleaning, egg collecting and care of the chickens. This was around 15 years ago. Now, 20 years later we are still with chickens but are at a different stage in our lives, with kids moved out and now I'm the principal care giver and vet.

I really enjoy the "ladies" they are my source of relaxation for me. Often when my two dogs can't find me they look in the coop and see me just watching them.
