Post in your state thread for local birds https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/110/kentucky-people Most feed stores where you can buy chicken feed will have chicks for sale in the spring, ie Southern States, Tractor & Supply have chick days (they usually have info on their websites) you can often pre-order chicks. Also check on Craigslist, and don't forget the BYC Buy Sell Trade forum.

Thank you! I'll have to go to Tractor Supply and Southern States. I doubt if they can sex them, though. I can't tell online if they have any yet or not. I suppose I'll have to make some phone calls. I know they would have a very limited variety. But thank you for the suggestions.
