New here so I guess I should introduce myself now that I have spent hours doing nothing but reading till my eyes hurt!
I am new to chickens, my husband and I just got our first 6 chicks about 4 weeks ago. We have 2 Golden Comets, 2 Wyandottes, and 2 Black Giants. I found BYC through searching for our coop we are building and just couldn't tear myself away, there is so much information. Our coop is almost finished and I can't wait until I can move the girls out there so they have some room to roam!
My husband and I purchased his family's farm a couple of years ago. It hasn't been a working farm in decades so we are in the process of slowly getting it back up and running, and I've been wanting chickens so here we are. We have three dogs (a lab, a husky/american bulldog, and a new beagle pup) and plan to eventually add horses, cows, and goats! I guess that's it for now.
