Star smiled and shrugged "That'll work to the safe effect, wouldn't it?" She asked then chuckled "In this room, I am just a student who needs to learn, alright?"
~~~
Angela chuckled again and nodded "Well, I could I suppose, but doves and pigeons are closely related. Some get us confused anyway"
~~~

Kyra chuckled then got in also to start digging for a pot they could use, or more than one, she wouldn't mind having an extra one.

They nodded to show their agreement. "If that is what you truly wish. " Ender asked.
~~~
Nektar walked along and listened contentedly. He missed this simple thing. Walking continuously, without stopping to turn around. Because the cells were so small. "Like the rock dove. It is mistaken for a pigeon. In fact, it's become the iconic symbol of a pigeon. It's gray and charcoal colored body and it's dark metallic head." He stated plainly.
~~~
Graydon found a beat up spoon. It was the largest spoon he had ever seen. "Is this useful? It to big for the mouth. " He observed.

"We should decide on where to go." She said and tried to figure out where they should go first. The humans built so many different places, it must've taken so much time.

"Well, you are wanting a restaurant that cooks good food. We can just follow what smells really good. That could work or we could ask someone. " She thought outloud.

"Uh...usually kibble and the rare treat of raw meat." She said. Growing up where she did, they didn't give you much of a choice for food.
~~~~~~
Zia shifted and picked up her sword, following him quickly.
~~~~~~~

Dust sat down and stared at the flames. It was hypnotizing in a way. The flames reminded him of war. All of them. Each battle the wargs had won and each they had lost. Each battle they charged through with an orc upon their backs. He was reminded of each time they would trudge home and rejoin the pack. A bloody mess they all were, but a happy one.

"What is Kibble? We don't have any kibble here, I don't think. Meat, we could work with. " Jackdaw said with slight confusion.
~~~
Degan glanced over at Zia as she caught up. "Oh, I thought you wanted to play a sand flea, hiding under the blanket. " He teased mildly.
~~~
Aeval came back with an armful of drift wood. She started adding the small pieces first, building up the fire for larger logs. So it was some time, before she noticed Dust was in his past. She sat down and watched him curiously. She knew better then to disturb him. He stared with unseening eyes into the fire. She wondered what he saw when he looked into it's devouring essence.

"It is" Star said and nodded "I need to learn and you three are the only ones I have to teach me right now" She said then got in position "So, shall we learn?"
~~~
Angela nodded and glanced to him then ahead again "Yes, just like that. " She admitted then shrugged "That's simply the way it is"
~~~
"It can be used to stir in a pot with" Kyra said and nodded "Or for getting water out of the stream" She said then went deeper in to search. "Oh, look at this one" She said and came up with a sausepan

"It's...dog food." Dawn explained badly.
~~~~
"Hey, don't tease me when I have a sword." She teased back.
~~~~
In his mind he was back.
He looked out over the bodies, both men, orc, and warg alike, that covered the red stained field. His shoulders ached and his breathing was rapid yet not a cut was on him since he healed when he shifted. The heat from the fires that dotted the field seemed like a violent force on his skin. There was was no use looking for survivors. Any wounded were injured to greatly to be moved and those that might survive it...well they had nothing that would help. He stepped over the bodies of both dead and dying, keeping his eyes towards the horizon, above the masses. A few reached out to him with pleading eyes, only to find rejection. At last he found the still form he had been looking for and praying was alive. He gazed at the corpse and sighed. The alpha had fallen. Her white fur was wet from sweat and blood, from both her and her rider. He reached down and gingerly shut her eyes in an attempt to escape her still disproving gaze. He shifted to his Warg form and turned his back to the field, running off into the distance, yet the cries of the dying haunted his steps.
He snapped out of it and jumped slightly.

Ender smiled at her spirit. "Alright Star. Let's try this one." He said as he went to his brother and demonstrated another defense tackle. After breaking down the components, he said, "Now we're coming for you. You better stop us." The got into position and charged for her.
~~~
"It's too quiet here. " He said reflectively. Before he grew curious about Angela's family. "Your grandfather? What was his name?" He asked quietly.
~~~
Graydon eyes widened. "Oh, it beautiful!" He said excited.

Jackdaw was offended buy the term. "Dog food! Well, that is gone. You'll eat meat here and cheeses. " He said with conviction. The servant brought them out a large try of a mix of meats and cheeses. As she set it down, he nodded his gratitude to her. "Thank you. " He add softly.
~~~
Degan rolled his eyes and said, "That's going to get old fast."
~~~
( Finally some back story! :weee Love it, he's so guarded and what a great flash back! )

Aeval made a soothing sound. "Easy, you are safe." She whispered softly. She then put another log on the fire. Before she started gutting the fish, using her scale. As she finished them, she strung then on a stick through their mouths and gill flap.

Dawn clapped her hands excitedly. "Yay! No more dog food!" She looked down at the meats with wonder. "Oh they look amazing!"
~~~~~~~
Zia laughed. "Maybe we'll find a shield and armor. Won't that be fun!" She grinned at the idea. "Oh course, we'd have to make sure no one tries to steal it...I wonder how large of a nest that would be..."
~~~~
(Thanks! I wrote that on a road trip but didn't have a good opportunity to use it until now.)
Dust looked over at her as he tried to get his breathing settled. "Sorry." he mumbled. He didn't know why he apologized, he just felt like it was needed. He ran his figures through his hair and sighed deeply. "Would you like help?" he asked referring to the fish.

Jackdaw smiled at her enthusiasm. He explained what each was, from his memory. But it was so long ago since he'd had them, he may have mixed up a few.
~~~
Degan nodded and laughed. "At this rate, you'll need a backhoe." He said good-naturedly.
~~~
Aeval nodded and said, "Yes, that would be greatly appreciated. Just be careful of that scale, that broken edge is like a razor. That is why I chose that one. Thanks to Nightmare, she gave me the perfect tool." She smiled mischievously at Dust, as she handed it over to him.

Dawn anxiously picked up a piece and shoved it into her mouth. "That is amazing!" She exclaimed after swallowing.
~~~~~~~~~
Zia grinned. "Maybe. Or just help build the ultimate nest."
~~~~
Dust nodded then took it from her. He worked silently from then on, avoiding looking into the fire. He had dealt with the flashbacks before but they still managed to get to him. Each time it seemed as though something was more intense or had changed. It became hard to tell his visions from what had actually happened. He looked at the sky. This was a rather nice place and he was grateful they had found it.
