"Yeah. Well, i think that sometimes, but then I am constantly reminded of what monsters they can be and how if I was raised here, how i would be a monster too." Autumn was so upset she started to shake.

Sandor made a soft sound to soothe her, as he drew her over to him and set her sideways on his lap. He then tucked her head under his chin, as he rubbed her shoulder and gently rocked her. "You're safe and I'm here to protect you. You have nothing to worry about. Come on, where did this come from? Talk to me, don't hold it in." He said her in a whisper.

"I..I don't know. I just want to go home, and I can't and...and the city...its horrible. People fight and steal, and people are hunting us down. I know that I should be happy that I have a place to stay and a great friend like you but...." Autumn stopped and took a deep breath. "I don't belong here."

Sandor listened quietly to Autumn. But then finally said, "Autumn, perhaps you should try to find a wilderness that is still untouched by human hands. Live your life on your own terms. Because it is your happiness you need to find. I, myself do not feel exactly the same. For I have always walked in two worlds. I have became accustomed to the human temperaments. So it is fairly easy for me. The city is now my home. Mainly because I do not want to find such a place to live and have to lose it all over again. No, I'll go on living in the forest in my dreams at night. It's safer for me that way." He stopped, struggling with how to help her.

Emerald walked around the city, not going near people. She was scared and angry at humans.

"But i don't want to leave you," she sobbed. Looking into his eyes, "please dont make me leave you."

Sandor shook his head, as he said, "I would never make you leave. You misunderstood me. What I meant, if you are not happy here, maybe you should try to find it. I'm sorry, I'm just no good at the touchy, feely stuff. Just forget I said anything." He shrugged uncertain.

"Oh. I'm sorry." Autumn sniffed, trying to stop, and return to her normal calm collective self.

Sandor frowned slightly. "Now, why are you sorry? I'm the sorry one. In fact, I know I'm so much more sorry then you." His feigned frown, slowly slipped into a smile.

Autumn laughed. "Oh yes, so much sorrier than me. Though, we might not be talking about the same kind of sorry," she teased.
