All of the spiders were patient, and all of them made no noise whatsoever and they made sure not to move, since they didn't really know when the pets and humans would show up.

Falkirk guided her hand to his elbow and started walking for the night garden. All of the flowers there only opened in the absence of the suns. As they headed down the hallway, Falkirk leaned in and whispered, "You look lovely this evening, Princess. "

Ender and Spyro following along silently. Actively scanning the hallway and doorways for signs of Vatgkan.

Graydon flushed at her praise. "Thank you, Kyra. But how are we to keep the meat from spoiling? " He asked curiously.

Zypher watched as the Humvee and SUV came to a stop. They idled there for a moment before one, then the other, shut off the engines. Then the doors opened slowly. Men with guns ready, charged out and took up defensive positions. Then two humans stepped out and looked all around cautiously, before going to the back to open the built-in cages. As soon as they shifters were let out, they were ordered to shift. Allen canvassed the area with his binoculars. Zypher crouched low, mainly to keep the scope from reflecting sunlight. He'd never seen such creatures. A massive flaming Minotaur and something else. If he had to guess, some goblin looking thing.

Allen waited as his men started tracking the signal. One man was walking around slowly with a signal locator. The closer he moved to it, the faster and louder it beeped. While others formed a perimeter, looking into the woods, ready to lay down cover fire if anything went south. The tech stopped at the base of the ridge and looked up it's slope. "Up there sir. The signals coming from up there. It looks like there's a cave up there." He said.

Cadeon chuckled softly, "Sweetness, I won't live forever. You only have to love me until my lifetime is over. I'll be that selfish. That way I won't have to live a day without you in my loving embrace." He said quietly.

Nektar also looked out at the mountain. "Man, it's absolutely beautiful here. So pure and untouched by the hands of man." He said absently.

Star blushed a little and looked to him again "Thank you. You look pretty handsome yourself" She said softly.

Jason watched the creatures, waiting for them to get closer into the trap that was set and waiting on them. He didn't like their looks either and was glad they had a water dragon coming in and a river nearby, even if it was a smallish river.

Ember sighed and hugged him close, hiding her face against his shoulder. She didn't want to think of him not being there with her, though she knew it would happen someday.

Angela smiled softly and nodded "Yeah, it is. It would be nice to just stay here." She said uietly then yawned and leaned against his side.

Omen stopped cold in his tracks. "TRAP! THEY WAIT FOR US!" He then started pointing to where the wolves and spiders were.

Chaos charged forward and spread all six heads ti form a circle. Several of his mouths were already filled with defensive fluids, just waiting for a target to spit them at.

The soldiers closed ranks and we're glad to have on riot gear.

Falkirk straightened just a bit more. "Why thank you, I'm glad you approve of my efforts. " He said with happiness.

Wrath snorted as he caught a scent. He growled and cast out a an energy wave. It was a form of echo location.

Phury snorted flames as he also scented wolves.

Upon their actions, the sentries shot short bursts into the trees. Trying to get the enemy to reveal their locations.

Cadeon closed his eyes at her reaction to his statement. He knew it was a eventuality. But he wasn't going to waste a single moment with her. He'd love her enough for three lifetimes. He silently vowed to himself. "Easy love. That day is not yet here and I'm only 18. A lot of years ahead of us." He murmured, as he stroked her hair and down her back soothingly.

Bertram smiled softly. He'd wanted to plunder her succulent lips. Part to satisfy the curiosity to see if they tasted half as sweet as the praise she'd lavished upon him earlier. But his own denial had fed into the anticipation of such an advance later on. But for now, the yearning was bringing him back to life. The subtle ache of longing, was a nice change to the cold numbness of the past few years. "My I have a drink of your water, Jackie? I must stay hydrated to not get weak. " He explained with a velvet voice.

Nektar gently folded Angela under his arm. To add comfort and offer her support. "It is your choice, Angela. If you wish to stay here, then we will. My life is with you, wherever it may take us. " He whispered softly to her. Just in case she was in the peaceful arms of sleep.

( Well with her true form, a human head and torso, on a winged lion body. She can't eat in her animal form. For she lacks the teeth to tear raw meat. So I have her eating with her hands in her human form. We'll just say, her food is cut into cubes and it's in a bowl. Since she's eating at a table. So to answer your question, no, she's not eating the whole animal. Just a roast sized portion. Hope that helps?)

They soon reached the city. There were huge marble buildings which replaced the boats for houses, and most of the buildings had many glittering gems on them. There were mermen with tridents protecting the outside of the city to make sure nothing got in, but there was no uncomfortable or restricting aura from that.
"This is nice." Sirène said gladly as she looked at the many buildings.

Don frowned at being found out so soon. They were not in the trap yet. "Do you truly expect no resistance when you kidnap and kill without cause?" He called out, taking a single step out of hiding and watching the men and creatures there. He could easily hide again if needed, but he wanted to get them in the trap. "We could easily have taken our grievances with your people to the city and killed and kidnapped the innocents there as you have done to us. Taken and destroyed their homes and way of life."

Star smiled at him again. He always made her feel so important and like what she said mattered to him. IT was one reason why she loved him. She looked ahead again, watching for the flowers once they reached the garden.

Kyra nodded and smiled at him "For jerky we will need a lot of long sticks and vines to tie them with as well as firewood and that knife we found" She said, getting up to start taking the buck back to the tree den.

The wolves were either above or below the line of fire. The ones below were also below ground level. One thing wolves could do was to dig holes. One or two returned fire, though most waited on the signal from Jason or Anna to go into a full fight. The ones that returned fire were closer to the ridge, there to draw the group in closer

Ember looked to him then kissed his jaw softly "No, that day is not yet here." She agreed then silently vowed to let herself burn when he died, taking his ashes with her to a new life.

Jackie smiled again and nodded, "Of course Bertram" She said gently.She turned away, going to answer the phone when it rang to update them on what was going on. (Jason's phone call earlier, lol)

And it would give me more money than most other jobs." Larry said and sighed. "I wish I hadn't been so ridiculous. I should've known no one who made this place would be normal."

The spiders, especially Eleanor and Earl, stayed completely silent when they saw the creatures through the bushes. They were not afraid, but wondering what was in the DNA of those creatures. Eleanor thought of what would happen if she recruited the one with multiple heads, and if she could. Though she didn't have any objections in her mind with killing them all, that one would be useful, but she didn't really like the idea of having someone of a different kind in her group.

"Haha. Well, I guess it does seem peculiar." She said.
"The city is fun. There's so much to do. Of course it is dangerous, but I believe I've learned how to blend in rather well." Ambrosia told Halfmoon.

(This is funny. The acromantula's are doing something else so their killing spree has been delayed, but you have replaced them. XD Hm, maybe. Though it'll have to be when they return to the woods, because Luis doesn't really capture anything out in the open when others can see.)
Serpente seemed oddly selective of who she killed. Once she was done she started picking up the few that she killed and put them next to a bench so she knew where they were, then sat down on the bench as if it was an ordinary day, maybe slightly boring because of her completely neutral face.
