Sorcha looked to the prince as he approached, but stayed where she was, working on the shield to try to block the spell orb, if she got it up in time, it would be 'opened' by the portal spell. She looked up again as she uttered the last syllable, finishing the shield then shifting to her dragon form to try to get away from the path Vatgkan was making. She did not want to be hurt by him as well

Starr landed on her balcony and folded her wings in close, catching her breath from the quick flight then looking back and waiting for Lucille to get down so she could shift again.

Don nodded "I figured as much, since I have seen her and the 'twin'. And I know you are not nice, but you did good to her, so she will remember that. I will not be the one to disillusion her like that" He said then chuckled lightly "The lady dragon is not one I would want to be on the bad side of, she is ancient."

Kyra nodded and tried to look at him with a serious expression "Yes, now I know how to make you laugh, all I have to do is tickle you"

The wolf looked to the fire then sighed "We will have some out here to make sure that doesn't spread soon, we should go before any others come." She said and turned to lead the way

Jason nodded and frowned, looking to the inferno again "Yes, we have to be smarter and finish this."


Anna was enjoying the petting and stood still by his side as she listened to the two talk. She had nothing to add at the moment, so she remained quiet, letting them talk.

Growing suspicions by Sorcha's sudden departure. Vatgkan quickly disbanded the power orb before it could strike. He shifted to his fey form and walked the rest of the way. He stretched out his hands to get a feel of the spell used. "Oh, clever girl." He said with appreciation. But it was quickly replaced with anger. "I too can do force fields." He yelled out enraged. He then turned and cast a domain dome around the portal and himself. That would keep him safe while he concentrated on dismantling the latent shield spell on the portal.

Ender now healed from his injuries, flew to the dome and tested it. He struck it with his sword. Nothing, not even a mark. This was why he wished Sylphs were magic wielding. He looked for Sorcha with urgency. Spyro tried ramming it with his shoulder. Nothing as well. For what Sylphs lacked in the magic department, they more than made up for with their immense strength and healing abilities.

Lucille quickly dismounted and hit the ground running. She had to tell Avalon that Vatgkan now had the portal spell. "Come! We must hurry! " She said as she ran for the door.

Xavier smiled softly at his description of the blue dragoness. "A worthy adversary to say the least. But she is very honorable. I have great respect for her and her daughter." He explained nicely.

Graydon put on an indigent look. "Well if you want my laughter forced. I guess that's the way to go." He said, struggling to keep a straight face.

Bertram watched the wolf and Wrath leave. So he stated heading towards Jackie's house. He ran at a full gallop and bounded over fallen tree trunks and rocks when needed. It was a lovely experience having Jackie upon his back. all the time she has rode him. A sensation he'd never favored before. For once his kelpie magic served a purpose other than killing. He smiled at that revelation. She made him want to be a better man all around. For Jackie had no problems taming his beast. Just as she'd tamed his human heart.

Wrath took everything in. So long had he lived with Elena and her always telling him what was expected of him. He was lost without her guidance. So he followed this female easily. He looked to the female wolf and asked hopefully, "Are you my handler or will I be assigned to another?" It was all he understood, his comfort zone in a way. Both mentally and physically. It stressed him out at the thought of being all alone.

The wolf looked to him and frowned a little "We don't have 'handlers, but I will stay with you at least until the tracker is removed. After that, well, we will have to see." She said gently "We stay together out of friendship and family ties, not because we are forced to" She explained

Jackdaw looked to Dawn surprised. He hadn't even heard her approach. "That was unexpected. You surprised me." He said with happiness. Then frowned, "When did we leave the library? " He asked curiously.

Degan chuckled lightly. "Excitement becomes you, Zia. You have a sparkle to your eyes." He explained.

Ena glanced to Dust and smiled. "You were quite remarkable bat there." She complemented.

"I was gonna ask you that. Navar and I were talking and when we were done I couldn't find you. So I shifted and attacked your scent. Can't have ya going off and getting killed." She smiled and looked around. "So, other than dancing what'd you guys do for fun? I'm rather awake now."

Zia blushed and turned her attention to the outside so no one would see it. "What was that thing that attack Pyro? Oh, and I wanna learn how to use my sword." She turned to looked where Pyro had gone. Content with et discovery, she looked back to the cave opening.

Dust looked up at her. "Thank you dear Ena. I fear we must repeat the journey later. Did you notice the little cameras in the bank and at the shop? That worries me." He became silent at the thought of being captured. It was almost an experience he wanted to try. It had been a long while since he had been involved with a decent fight.

Vatgkan ignored him and concentrated harder on dismantling the spell. He was getting fairly close, it was weakening by the moment. Soon he'd have it.

Lucille knocked urgently on the queen's receiving room and rushed in at her "Enter". "My queen, I have grave news. Vatgkan has the portal spell! I couldn't stop him from taking it. I'm sorry I failed you."

Avalon looked up at Lucille's frantic works. She was so relieved to see them both back safe. "My dear Lucille, there is no blame to be had, other than on Vatgkan's head. You're both innocents in his devious plots." She then walked over to Lucille and embraced her lovingly. After a moment, she opened her eyes and looked over to Star. She held out her hand in invitation. "I'm so glad to see you back safe and thank you for saving my cousin." She said softly.

Xavier looked to the door cautiously, before moving to stand a little closer to Don. "I was offered a challenge. I thrive on such things. Especially when magic is involved. So my son and I came to reside her while we worked on it. Markus wanted the original spell that created shifters. But I came to find that the original spell was long diluted in the blood of existing shifters. All save one, for in her the spell magic was still pure. For she is immortal, as well as the first generation, purely breed shifter. A very special unicorn. But she escaped and what blood he'd drawn, was made into a vaccine that allows his current mutts the ability to shift." He whispered softly to him.

Graydon felt terrible. He took his finger and raised her chin with it until she was forced to meet his eyes. "Now you know you can't take anything I say seriously. I was just teasing you. But I'm still relatively new at it, so I see I've failed to emote that note in my voice. Never be ashamed of anything you do in regards to me. You need only smile to make me unbelievably happy." He replied thoughtfully. He then smiled softly, as he ran his thumb along her jaw gently.

Bertram registered the shift of her weight and movement. he slowed his hey pace to a trot. He then craned his neck around to look up at her. "How do you feel?" He asked concerned.

Wrath frowned as he looked to the ground. "Yes. I was told that already. But I just don't understand the concept. It is terrifying to me to be is such vastness alone. That is why I was compelled to ask." He explained as he looked up at her unsure of what she would think of him now. He hoped she didn't abandoned him for his weakness or his clingy request. He was very strong and feeling insufficient was a whole new level of experience.

Ena nodded at his caution. " Duly noted. I do not like that city. Those humans are getting to many. They could have swarmed us and we wouldn't have been able to get free.

Pandora shushed her. "We are not that easy a target. Humans are nothing more then a walking, talking meal. The only good human is a dead one. " She said with delight.

Aeval was replying all that had happened. Looking to see if they had revealed themselves in some small way.

Pyro frowned and shot a walnut sized fire ball at him. At Degan's "Yikes! " He smiled a dragon's grin of innocence.

Degan looked at him hard and said, " You better di something about that heartburn. You're belching fire, my friend."

Pyro rumbles in pure laughter, as he spread his wings to take off. He liked Degan very much. He gave as good as he got.

Sorcha was focused fully on dismantling the spell, she ignored the others around her, trusting Ender and Spyro to keep her safe while she worked. Another minute passed before she was able to bring the spell down and she blinked, looking up finally once it was done.

"Him hurting her was not right" Star said, coming closer to take her hand "At least he has a weak excuse for trying to take me, but he had none for taking her. I had to do what I could to get her out of there"

Don chuckled and shook his head "That spell, it cannot work on humans, I guess he finally figured that out though, huh?" He asked then looked to him again "It was created by a white witch to have company that wouldn't turn on her like humans had done so often for her kind. Even she didn't know it would last so long as it has. Such a shame that greed has undone what she created for good."

"I am your guide for now." She said then held out her hand to shake "I am Skylar. Until you are ready to be on your own, I will stay close" She informed gently. "We have learned that many of the ones we free from him don't know how to survive free, so we have started this guide system, to help teach and be company for the ones we free."

Jason sighed then nodded "Get all the wolves you can back to Sanctuary or the hidden places, we have to make a plan before we attack full on" He said then looked to Zypher and Anna "Until we get father back, you two will have to run the pack in the city, I will need to take father's place out here"
