Star smiled at him. "I liked that. It feels right." She said quietly then kissed him softly again.

Kyra chuckled and hugged him then went over to look out the window. "The tree has grown more leaves. It's harder to see the ground where those men were. They won't be able to see the window or door from there again if they ever come back."

"You can stand as close as you can take thw heat, but it will be hot." Ember said and stood on the dragon to get the flames started so it could burn the body.

Rana clacked her beak, a sign of anger as she turned towards the gargoyles then cried out angrily, wanting them to focus on her instead of the others.

"Elevators, vents. You might be surprised wherea wolf can fit." Anna said and grinned at him "Let's go. " She said eagerly and checked her guns.

Rosie looked up to him and smiled again. "You can prove whatever you want to when you are well, for now, I want you to rest and get well, the others can take care of the fighting and getting our alpha home again."

Falkirk wanted it to last forever, but he knew this moment was fleeting. He twirled softly, as he brought Star up aginst him fully. He sighed softly at her welcomed warmth. When he came up for a much needed breathe. He looked candidly into her eyes. "You are pure magic, for it radiates around you. Your skin alone smells sweet as nectar. I feel as if I've been thirst deprived my whole life and after the smallest taste. I know that small taste will never be enough." He whispered in hushed tones, as he slowly nibbled along her cheek and down the side of Star's neck. When he got to the base, he swirled his tounge around devilishly, to take in the full essence of the taste of her skin. He made a sound of total contentment.

Graydon set down the basket and went to see. "Wow! That's amazing! You know it's like the tree is protecting us." He said with wonderment.

Deciding on the side of caution, Orson led Garth quite a bit away. So they could watch and be safe.

Bertram focused on the new threat. He didn't know exactly how he could help. But he planned to do what he could.

Zypher stood and walked over to Anna and took her into his arms. He smiled down at her."See, right there is why I'm totally and completely in love with you." He said with conviction as he leaned forward and kissed her.

Ericsson grinned at her tone. He nodded his compliance and agreement, "Yes ma'am. You have my word. It's all about the healing first." He then looked to Jason and the others helplessly.

The gargoyles screamed out at the challenge that Rana posed. They started for her with intent. Their stone armor and skin a dusty grey in the sunlight.

Orson heard the strange sound and looked up in an attempt to figure out what it was. When he caught a glimpse of the gargoyles, he cursed in fey. He started chanting a power orb to help Rana and Bertram fight them. He tried not to think of Sergio while he did it. It seemed Markus was getting fey creatures now. But he couldn't figure out how. Gargoyles were mostly host spirits. How did Markus come by one, let alone two of them? He paused in his actions. Unless he'd somehow freed them from the fade. Orson shuddered at that thought. He looked up again with worry and dread. If they are rogue demos, they would be ruled by Pariah. The dark Demos who taught them how to feed on life forces and certain magical power. He canceled the power orb and went with a protection spell instead. It would work in the form of a shield. Hopefully it would help to keep them at bay. At lest, until he knew for sure if they were rogue or not. The last thing they needed was metaphysical vampires draining them of life and power.

Starr twirled for him as she hugged him close also. She didn't ever want to have this moment end, though she knew it would have to at some point. She closed her eyes, holding him and enjoying the moment for all it held

Ember focused on the flames, having to leave Rana to deal with the gargoyles so she could tend to the dead dragon. This was one reason so few were ever found, mythicals took care of their own when they died, leaving no evidence of anything but a fire.

Rana cried out again and turned to fly away from the mountain quickly. She was providing distraction so the others could finish and get away she knew the stone skin wouldn't take any of her attacks, not unless she managed to rip one apart, but that would take time and she didn't have enough yet.

Anna chuckled and kissed him in return "You, this pack, this building, right now this is my pack and my home too. I will stand with you and keep anyone from taking them from us."

Jason was trying so hard not to laugh. He enjoyed seeing Rosie like this, she was so much more protective of the man than any other patient of hers. He liked to see her falling in love and hoped it would work out between the two of them.

Ender was flying out to catch up with his brother and company. Avalon wanted to give Star the choice of being part of Vatgkan's sentencing. He smiled as he approached the tree of life and saw Star and Falkirk embracing. He landed by the tree and cleared his throat politely.

Falkirk made a soft sound of disappointment. "I knew reality would come looking for us. I just hoped it would be later, rather than sooner." He complained softly.

Ender easily heard his words and laughed. "Don't shoot the messenger, boy." He said with humor.

Graydon sobered at the weight of that responsibility. He'd never felt so important before. He made a point to straighten his posture. He wanted to look the part, but after a little bit, his back got tired. So he relaxed back to normal.

Orson watched Rana move far from sight. He hoped the protection help them. He then focused back on Ember. It was quite a sight to see. The funeral fire of a mythical. A rare and honorable tradition. Even though, Chaos wasn't worth the effort. He knew why she was doing it.

Garth was transfixed. He'd never see a flame so beautiful. It had rainbow hues within the bright orange.

Bertram hunched low to limit air resistance and help Rana gain speed. He was wondering where she was going. She seemed to have a plan.

Zypher winked and said, "I wouldn't have it any other way." He then went to a closet to get the needed supplies. Grappling hooks, repelling ropes and harnesses, just to be on the safe side.

Ericsson looked back at Rosie and took her hand into his. He squeezed it gently as a form of reassurance.

Ender stepped forward to get a bit closer. " Queen Avalon is sentencing prince Vatgkan tonight. She wanted you to have the opportunity to be present. It's either death or eternal banishment." He replied softly. He glanced to Falkirk before continuing, "She wishes to meet with you before the sentencing. She desires to let you decide. Since his crimes were against you personally, Princess."

Falkirk looked between the two as he listened quietly. Very surprised by the queen's offer.

"Good, because I'm not very good at being regal. I'm more a house cat." He explained to her teasingly. He sighed softly as he enjoyed his time with Kyra.

Orson bowed his head to Ember. When he returned his gaze to her, he said, "That was a wondrous thing you just did. If ever I go into the fade, I wish you to see my body returned to the elements. "

Garth was still learning the complex relationships of these free shifters. Their seemingly selfless acts confused him to no end. Markus had described them as greedy and power hungry. No, that was what Markus was. He saw that crystal clear now. "Why would you help Chaos in that way. He desrerved to rot, didn't he?" He asked timidly.

The gargoyles could smell the humans from this far out. Their mouths started salivating at the prospect of getting an easy meal. A bonus while taking down their enemy. So nice of them to lead them to a banquet. Jura looked to her brother and smiled a moment before continuing on in the direction of the city. Inioth shared his sister's hunger. It had been centuries since they had feasted. He wondered what human energy would taste like.

Bertram was brainstorming for a way out of their current predicament. But was coming up short. But then a glare of bright light caught his eye. He blinked at what he saw. A three headed dragon that sparked like diamonds. Strange enough, but the real question was who side was it on. For it was headed right for them. It roared in triplicate as it's large wings carried it swiftly.

Aeval glanced to her sisters , as she hurried to help Rana. She still hadn't known how that wolf had found her. He'd carried a message from another shifter called Omen. Also someone she didn't know. But once she had read the message, she believed the sincerity of this Omen. For he knew things about her that no one else could. Seeing that the situation was exactly as described, she flew with urgency.

Zypher nodded as they headed out for the elevator. He pushed the fire men's key into the steel doors to open them. He looked down the vast elevator shaft looking for the floor it was stopped at. "I suspect that where the elevator car is, that's what floor we'll find them. At least it's a start. But we can still go floor by floor, just to be sure they don't have backup on other floors. " He whispered his thoughts.

Ericsson paced their clasped hands on his thigh and gently rubbed his thumb over hers. He watched Jason and the others curiously. He looked over to Rosie and asked worriedly, "What are they planning on doing with me? Will we hide in the woods or head back to the city?"

Cadeon was starting to get very concerned about Ember. It had been quite a while since they had left. He glanced over at Bob and Jackie. He didn't want to be a worry wart. For everyone had settled into the moderately relaxed atmosphere.

"If Avalon wants me, I will come." Starr said and glanced to Falkirk. "I want you to be with me though, even if she asks you to wait outside to talk." She said. She just wanted to have him close.

Ember dipped her head in response to his request. "If I am anywhere close to you, I would be honored to see your body honored in this way." She said then looked around. " By helping him in this way, I help all mythicals. It is what we are each taught from the time we are old enough to understand. " She explained to Garth. " Where is Rana?"

"Do you have any ideas? " Rana asked and glanced back to the beasts. "Because I do not." She said then looked towards the city again, turning East from there to lead them away from the city if ahe could.

"Unless they sent the elevator to another floor to try to fool you and us." Anna said then winked at him. "We should make sure each floor is safe as we go down"

Rosie shrugged and watched the others. " I do not know, but I think you and I will be sent to a more hidden safe house. Possibly one near the coast."

Ender just glared at Spyro.

Orson filled Ember in on what happened and which direction Rana had flown towards.

Garth gasped at the mention of the gargoyles. He instantly paled in fear. He'd heard stories about them.

"Not a clue. Battles in midair are not my expertise. Now in the water, that's my department. But it seems we have another question. Who is that and are they friend or foe. " He stated as he pointed in Aeval direction. Who was now following the gargoyles that had broke off from Rana's path and was headed for the city.

"Yep, most definitely." Zypher stated as he grinned widely at Anna with appreciation in his eyes. He then set up the gear to repel down the shaft to the floor below them. "It seems excitement always finds us, doesn't? Never a dull day around here." He said in hushed tones as he handed her her harness to put on. Then got his own.

"As long as we are together, they could send us to the moon for all I care." Ericsson said quietly.

Cadeon caught Jackie's movement and knew he wasn't over reacting.

"Gargoyles? That is not good, that's towards the city" Ember said then flew up to head after them. She didn't like the implications of all of this. Add in that the gargoyles would kill humans as easily as them was not good either

Ender smiled and bowed slightly, "Yes, by all means. We mustn't keep the queen waiting." He said as he took to the air.

Falkirk shifted and waited for Star to get airborne.

Spyro held back to take up the rear.

"Kyra, you are far from boring. You are adventure incarnate. If that makes any sense. " Graydon said a bit unsure.

Orson watched Ember leave in a flash of blue flutter. For them, he opened a portal to take Garth and himself to the city. He stepped through and waited for Garth to follow. If they could get the gargoyles in void, they'd at least have them contained.

Bertram hung on tight, as Rana changed course to head back towards the gargoyles.

Ena roared to get the gargoyles attention, while Pandora shot acid venom at the closest one. It started working on the stone skin. She watched as he made an emergency landing. Good, on grounded, one to go.

Inioth growled angrily as the stone skin of his wing was eaten away. He had to land on a building to keep from falling to the ground. He called out to his sister for help.

Jura looked back at her brother's cry and instantly got enraged. She drew her sword and backed tracked to attack the three headed dragon. How dare that abomination hurt her brother.

Zypher nodded ans back towards the open doors. Getting the slack out of the rope, before he started down the shaft.

Ericsson rested his head close to Rosie's and closed his eyes. Today was almost a nightmare. But Rosie was safe, thank goodness.

Cadeon looked to Jaxon and Skylar. "Hey, could you watch Bob for a bit? I'm just going to go help Jackie in the kitchen." He asked nonchalantly.
