Asclepius finished his dinner, after trading at several more jewelry shops and buying at crafting stores that had freshwater pearls and semiprecious stones. After finally filling his belly, Asclepius finally decided to head to his hotel room. He was very far from his lair, located in a remote volcanic region. He only went home for a long rest, and to collect tomes to add to his burgeoning hoard along with favorite gems of exceptional clarity and cut. It had been a long time since he had seen his lair, 50 years at least of floating among humans. He found them not only intriguing, but he found great pleasure in helping and teaching them. Even among his own kind he was a renowned healer. In thinking about it, technology had advanced among humans at such a rate that his hoard may be discovered by a terrain mapping satellite at some point. Perhaps it was time to browse the book stores for something worthwhile to take to the library. And shore up his facade, to keep his home hidden for a little bit longer.
Or perhaps he would linger a little longer. He watched several pretty ladies walk confidently by in their finery. Even dragons could appreciate good art. He tilted his head, watching the angles change shamelessly.
