Razeth, Nevitha and Valstrath looked up at the cave ceiling with part curious intrigue and fearful trepidation. "Den mother what is that sound?" Valstrath asked.
Navar stood to go gear up. He looked over questioningly as Ackley stepped forward with another to go speak with Anna.

"I would also volunteer my services, as would Maxwell here. That is if it pleases you, Alpha Anna?" Ackley asked as she knelt down with her head tipped slightly to expose her throat to her. Maxwell followed suit with his eyes alight with decided purpose awaiting her decision.

Zypher leaned back in his chair and sipped his coffee quietly. He looked to Anna for her decision as well. He loved seeing his beautiful alpha take control of her pack. He'd lived so long without a pack, it was very comforting to have it once again.

Maxton felt for Aurora's loss. "I'm sorry for your loss, Aurora. The loss of one's mate is inconceivable and to to endure its loss and not give into the void, is a testament of your strength and love for your daughters. " Maxton stated with heartfelt sincerity.

Xavier looked to Aurora with sympathy in his eyes.

Ender was surprised himself. But choose not to mention it. He called upon Racine and spoke privately through the blood bound.
~
Avalon listened with growing concerns as to what this ment to her people.

Racine made a soft sound as Ender reached out to him through the blood link. "We have some guests of a different persuasion out in your garden queen Avalon. A princess Foneth of the great dragon clan, to be exact. It would seem our Ender has returned with new friends. "

Avalon stared mutely at them as his words were processed fully. "Friendly or hostile?" She asked guarded.

Racine shrugged, "Friendly is my impression of their motives. But you'll have to go to them, my darling sister. For they're far to large to fit inside your tiny doors." He said with mild humor. "We'll continue to search for clues about these Hythishens in your absence. " He added with reassurance.

Avalon nodded gravely and moved for the stairs, "Thank you both. I'll be interested in anything you find." She said.

Spyro silently followed after her as well as sending out a call for alert to all the other Sylphs. He informed them of the new arrivals in the garden. "My queen, are you sure this is not a trap? Is it wise to head out blindly?" He cautioned gently.

"Ender would never hurt me. Let alone bring someone here to do so. I thought you knew your brother better?" Avalon spoke with underlying emotion. She was struggling with her overwhelming eagerness to see him again.

"When it's all you know, it's not so much. That human saying, " ignorance is bliss" comes to mind. You'll get home, Shaylee. " Anton said with a smile. After hearing about her world, it did make earth seem so bland.

Rouha stepped forward into the toxic mix of acid laden mud and swamp water. He used his hands to feel the poisonous vines. He explored them carefully due to the thorns that covered them. He smelled with his keen nose the dragonish aroma hidden by the over abundance of acid. He grunted to his handler obediently that there was a connection between their target and the strange plant life growing here.

Slygotha growled low, the air reverberating with her alarm. "Hide yourselves in the hoard, my wyrmlings. Something stirs outside. It approaches. I will let no intruder go unpunished in my territory." She approached the entrance of the den. Her glowing green eyes were barely discernable behind the thick mass of vines obscuring the entrance. Like a specter, they rose behind the vines. Her ire rumbled deep in her throat as she observed trespassers in her swamp. Slygotha preferred indirect means when threats didn't work. They seemed immune to her overgrowth spell. She would try something else. Humming, she closed her eyes, then opened them very wide, now lacking color in them. They glowed black, with darkness radiating from them the black creeped out from her, obscuring everything around her, consuming light, absorbing it. She blew forward, her breath pushing the darkness spell to hang over the Intruders, hoping to cause confusion. Once that spell was in place, her eyes returned to normal. She could barely make out anything through the darkness shroud that hung over the landing, even with her dragonish eyes. Satisfied, she started to chant, weaving her claws in intricate patterns. Slygotha called out to every creepy crawly thing of the bog, every bug, slug, and snake, to swarm the warm things in her space. She grunted gruffly, snorting as the swarm gathered to flank the Intruders.

Anna smiled and nodded at the two "I would be glad to have you and whoever else of the pack wants to come. This will not be a simple battle and we will need your skills." She said. Honestly she had expected them to come along anyway.
~~~
Aurora dipped her head a little and looked away, towards the windows "It was a long time ago, before my daughter hatched." Not that that made her forget, though she was past the initial grief.
~~~
Sorcha listened and sent the book back to her storage before looking to Racine again after Avalon had left. "There doesn't seem to be much else, they used some kind of sonic power to kill the guards here, though that kind of power could weaken the foundation of the castle."

Bardou followed Avalon, hoping she wouldn't mind his tagging along to see a great dragon. This was exciting.
~~~~
Foneth lowered her head and sniffed at a flowering plant as they waited, looking to Avalon and her guards as they came out. The two males looked around also, interested in this place and wanting to explore, though they stayed close.
Shaylee smiled softly at that assurance "I hope to show you it sometime." She said tiredly.
Echo team was surprised by the darkness, bringing out night-vision gear to see if it would help. Soon enough they would have to start fighting the snakes and other swamp creatures the dragoness had called out to battle them. "Defiantly the right place, we got the wildlife acting up, protecting something. This could be the nest." They would kill what little creatures they could to stay alive.
Nidhogg squealed with her muffled voice, invigorated by her daddy's presence. She tried to rip off her muzzle. She tried to rush to his side. She was terrified of being here.
Reaper's attention went to Nidhogg as she struggled to get free. He roared as the men jabbed her with something to slow her down. He started for her to help free her, when he heard a loud canon like blast. The sound only registered a second before he was covered in a net of pure agony due to its white hot electricity that pulsed throughout it. He stumbled as it encompassed him. Frantically he clawed and bit at the braided cables to no effect. Reaper knew he was weakening from the constant jolts and made to release his acid breath to eat through the net, when he felt a Fae attack him from within. He heard a female voice speaking draconic within his very mind. "Don't do it or Nidhogg dies!" Reaper stilled instantly as he searched out the owner of the disembodied voice. "Just let us go Fae and I'll let you live." He lied as he located the only Fae there. Pariah stood a short distance away and he hissed angrily at her.
"If you know I'm Fae, then you know I don't even have to touch your daughter to end her." Pariah said with conviction.
Reaper looked to Nidhogg with concern and worry. "Don't hurt her. Don't hurt my baby girl." He pleaded mentally.
Pariah stepped closer and said aloud, "I won't if you don't make me."
Rouha didn't notice the loss of light to the darkness. Just one of the benefits of having no eyes. He experienced the world with his other senses. He crouched down into the acidic mud on all fours, before he started to dig down into the rancid smelling mud. He'd search the earth for a possible way around or under the blocked passage. He'd heard noise stirring from within.
"Fascinating that they are unable to detect such a magical being. Their loss I suppose. " Xatia said thoughtfully. She glanced to the others in the room and amended her thought, "But then it's best that they're incapable perhaps. Especially since this whole situation is because of a few enlightened humans. "
"A lot of it is just luck," admitted Asclepius. "Although never staying in one place too long is a big factor. Plus, I have expensive tastes, and hiding away in my lair brooding and sitting in the dark just doesn't suit me," joked Asclepius.
Nidhogg stopped, confused. She wasn't understanding what was happening. Her daddy was supposed to destroy them all. He would break the walls and shake the building by the roots. He was cowed? She made a soft mewling sound through her muzzle, straining a little despite the pain. The prods were becoming nearly all the little wyrmling could stand. She took one more trembling step forward, then her fragile psyche snapped, and she collapsed in a heap in front of her father. As her pleading eyes rolled back in her skull, they locked for a moment with his. " Do whatever you have to do, daddy. Don't worry about me. I'm just the weakest link. I'm sorry I couldn't get away...
I'm ... Sorry...."
She siezed violently and then was still, barely breathing.
Swarms of insects poured from the hot, muggy jungle swamp, heeding the call of the brood mother. Flying insects of all kinds, locusts, mosquitos, biting flies, wasps, hornets, various carrion and chewing beatles, buzzing, biting, stinging whatever they landed on. The air roared with the beating of a million tiny wings. Slygotha had suggested to them that a ready, easy meal awaited the swarm, and they were actively seeking it, crawling under shirts, into ears,noses, biting any unprotected flesh they landed on. Slygotha grinned in the dark.
The reptiles were coming.
The best kind of kills, smirked Slygotha, were overkills.
Zypher smiled gently and leaned in to whisper to Anna as Ackley and Maxwell stood to make ready to leave. "Yes, but hyenas are keen on asking their alpha's permission first." He then nuzzled her neck affectionately and playfully nibbled her with his lips.
Maxton bowed his head to Aurora with deep respect before looking back to Xavier again as he rolled up the makeshift blueprints and slipped them through the bars. He reached forward to grasp the end and took them. "Thank you for your assistance. You may have started out on the wrong side, but it takes a wise man to realize his error and to correct it."
Xavier nodded slightly and finished off the rest of his meal.
"But somehow it didn't. So perhaps it's effects only works on organic matter. But there is something else we can use to our advantage. There was once a spell that one could use to tap into the displaced energy left by a tragic event. In a way it projects the events in a hologram form. But it is taboo and requires a lot of magic." Racine thought aloud. He looked to Sorcha as he rubbed his chin in futher thought, he then added, "But with the union of our base powers, I think we could do it. What do you think? "
~~~
Avalon was thankful for Bardou's thoughtful support. Avalon smiled pleasantly as she approached the great dragons. "Welcome to Anstrophia princess Foneth. I'm very pleased that we have this opportunity to get past our past histories and forge a new one for the betterment of all involved. " She said diplomatically as she dipped her head in respect to Foneth. She only stole a single glance of Ender. She found that he looked well rested and very different standing there in his Sylph form. Was it simply his posture or the whole way he carried himself? She wondered absently, before calling herself back to the matters at hand.
~~~
"Good, because I hope to see it sometime. So I'll be sure to hold you to it. " Anton said brightly.
Anna giggled at the ticklish sensation and smiled at him again. "You are reading my thoughts, love" She whispered softly. She was glad of that, since it meant that the fae bond was strong enough to allow him to read her thoughts even if he had to speak to reply to them.
~~~
Aurora watched the city as time passed, waiting for Xavier to finish his meal so she could take the dishes back and they could finish getting ready then go.
~~~
Sorcha looked to him then around the area again "If you think it is needed, though I would ask what made it taboo?" She asked, facing him and reaching to take his hand so they could be connected again, ready to do this spell or any other as needed.
~~~
Foneth raised her head from the bush, looking to Avalon then dipping her head in respect. "Greetings Queen Avalon" She glanced to Ender herself, hoping she got the name right before focusing on the queen again. "We hope for a new alliance between our peoples as well. This separation has gone on for a very long time."
~~~
Shaylee smiled and made herself as comfortable as she could on the floor, trying to fall asleep now.
Echo team geared up under the assault as if they were entering a place with unbreathable air, which they would if they came any closer themselves. They would cover any skin that showed, taping down pants legs and sleeves to prevent the bugs getting inside while spraying pesticides and using tasers on the bigger creatures that came out. They didn't care about keeping any of these creatures alive for study, they were after much bigger prey.
(you'll tell me if I bend the rules, right? Since there are no rules.... I have some interesting ideas, anyways, but I almost want to keep them a surprise. But if it's too much, you just let me know and I'll edit. I am eager to see what Reaper does right now!!!!! I wanna see some seething dragon rage)
