Aeval scooted over closer and would watch over her friend as best she could while Kali got the much needed rest her body required. She stroked her hair soothingly and hummed softly, more to comfort herself really. She'd been so frightened when she'd been dragged away and was a bit clingy at the moment.

Pyro was quite and looked out at the waves in deep reflection upon Aurora's words. He finally said, "You've taught your daughter well and with you're continued council, she'll be ready for anything. Even this threat from beyond, that dreadful Pariah. "

Bertram smiled happily and walked with Jackie. He glanced to the table and sat down. "You spoil me rotten, Jackie. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.Definitely not ." He teased her.

Kali looked at Aeval briefly then settled again, closing her eyes and falling asleep again. She hoped they could stay together now since they were both 'wanted' now.

Aurora smiled at that then sighed softly and moved to come in to shore. "While I would like to stay here and soak for a while, I want to see my girls." She said "Thank you for being here for me and for my girls."

Jackie chuckled and kissed him then got him a bowl, setting it in front of him when it was full. "I get to spoil you, you are my love." She said and got a drink then took a seat beside him

Slygotha's jaws parted, a low rumble escaping. Her brightly colored frills displayed her agitation. Realizing that this one was not what he seemed, she decided she had better feel out the situation first before making any moves. "If you are talking about the puny humans and dragonkin that attacked my nest while I was minding my own business, they got exactly what they deserved. But I didn't send enough to cause you problems, unless my mate wrought a line of destruction between our den and the place where those creatures took my Nidhogg, handling her like some common food animal. I only killed in self defense those that would have harmed myself and my brood." Slygotha puffed out her chest defensively.
Nidhogg, being a timid creature, nonetheless was slightly curious. Her nostrils and top part of her head and eyes surfaced silently, her leathery frill clamped down against her head so as not to bring attention to herself.

Anubis kept his sole attention upon the dragoness. When she concluded her explanation, he nodded at her truth. "The dark hearts always see themselves as victims. I'm on a quest for a soul eater to be rid of them soon enough. I am Anubis. I am not here to harm you or your young. They are safe from the likes of me." He said offhandedly.

Jura had been sapped of her strength but in the last minute before the others left they took the net off her. She was left in the room with the two collared males. There was nothing for her to do, she had no strength left, so she slept. When she finally heard one of the males talk she lifted her head to look at them.

"They won't harm her if that is what your worried about. She is too special for that, whatever that other shape she carries is, it is much coveted. At this point she is probably safer then us." Jura said apathetically, looking at them with eyes devoid of emotion. She had long since come to grips with her reality, any chance she may have had she had squandered. This was her life, and would always be her life.

Hunter sighed when he found himself still in the same room, rubbing his head then getting up to check on Logan and Jura "They took Kali, poor pup." He said quietly.

Kali looked at Aeval briefly then settled again, closing her eyes and falling asleep again. She hoped they could stay together now since they were both 'wanted' now.

Aeval quieted as Kali slept. She watched the door with determination to protect her friend.

Bertram smiled happily as he partook of the hearty meal. He made a sound of delight upon his first taste. " You've outdone yourself, Jackie. This is sublime. " He replied.

Jackie chuckled softly and looked to the other cooks in the kitchen "I did have a lot of help this time, but I am glad you like it."

Slygotha visibly relaxed somewhat, but her agitation was still on display with the full extention of her venomous crest. "The soul eaters are loose among the living?" She asked with surprise, shifting her weight to one side to brace easier against the lazy river's flow. "If you seek a group to travel with, you may as well come with me. I seek revenge. They stole my hoard, my mate, and several of my young. I would find them and destroy them, though I know not who they are, save their smell and the appearance they chose to reveal at the time of the attack. You, a great bastion of the underworld, would be a great help, and it is easier to disguise oneself in groups. You could pass as one of my children, if you were so inclined. As one of mine, you would escape notice while searching, and I would gain a powerful ally in my quest for revenge, for I know not where the quest will lead, save into human civilization."

Anubis thought for a moment then smiled with appreciation. " You flatter and make solid points at the same time. I think you'll make just as good an ally for me. You are formidable in battle. I've seen as much from the memories of the dead. I accept your generous offer. " He said with gratifying happiness. He then addressed her first question. "Not all the soul eaters, but some. They have proven to be more helpful than a hindrance. So we leave them be."

Asclepius felt awkward as the others peeled away into intimate groups. Being an outsider, he edged quietly towards the woods. He wasn't particularly interested in those foods anyways. The mention of food, however, made him realize that he was, indeed, hungry. He checked his pockets, popping a few pearls he found there. He liked the flaky layers as they crunched.
He contemplated visiting Phoebe.

Pyro looked to Aurora and said sincerity, "You've fought enough. The work ahead of you is far more important to dragon kind. Too long we've been without a queen or matriarch to guide us. We are scattered to the four corners of in the Earth. We need your daughter to bring us all back together again. I'll fight in your stead."

Bertram smiled and grew serious once again. "What dilemma or world stopping event did you starve off this time?" He said worriedly.

Zypher yelped as he got shocked by the Russian caller. He'd been trying to pry open a side panel in the back. " That packed a wallop." He said as he shook out his hand and sucked on his finger.

Aurora looked at him then bowed her head "Only if that is what you want. I do not want to see you hurt either." She said, leaning against his dragon form a bit "Let us return."

Jackie looked at him and frowned as she thought of what they had just done today "Aurora had some new kind of collar on that cut off her connection to her element. She was dying but we got the collar off and made crystal keys for them."

Anna jumped when he did and looked at him then at the collar. "Be careful love. We don't know what they did to that, what safeguards are n place."
