Skye nodded. Slowly standing up she looked to Angela. "We should go to bed, it's pretty late. In the morning I'm going to go to the forest and take some pictures for my article, you can come, if you like."(Thax)
Skye sat down and stared out her window at the brightly lit city contrasting against the dark sky.
"It's pretty out there" Angela said after a while
He nodded, hesitantly, but began to follow her.(The one when Skye comes back, hands her a glass, and begins to drink her glass of water.)
Buchanan hesitated. Being a Wolverine he was independent, and usually stand-offish. Something about this girl's kind offer made him change. He decided that he would let her help him, though he would never admit that he needed help. "Yes. I... I would greatly appreciate that."
~
"Umm." Astrid looked around, caught off guard. "Seasoned... I suppose."
Carrow noticed Buchanan's hesitation, but she stayed silent as he thought about it and then agreed. She then smiled sheepishly at him. She hadn't realized how important his answer was to her. She was happy he'd decided to accept her offer and stay with her. The deafening silence of that place, was almost suffocating at times. That's why she come down to the court house, so she could people watch. Carrow said nicely, " If you'd please come with me, I'll show you to the apartment, right now if you'd like." She slowly folded her arms behind her back and laced her fingers together. She tended to walk that way, because she found walking with swinging arms to uncomfortable. She turned to walk down the sidewalk in the other direction. She paused to glance back over her shoulder after a few steps, to see if he was in fact coming with her.

Raine frowned at his clumsy attempt at hiding his thoughts. So he tried a different approach. "Astrid, do your..." he stopped himself from saying species. "Umm people have certain ingrained rituals? I have found that my peoples rituals as manifesting themselves into my new life here." Raine shook his head, frustrated with himself. Why did he have to be this way. It had to be because he was a stupid bird! He scolded himself.
~
Astrid thought for a moment. "No, not really." Looking into his eyes she said, "I would love if you could teach me your rituals though." She smiled, hoping if she tried hard enough she could begin to understand Raine better.
(Well... He could shift into a human, and let her loose at the auction place.)
The men drove away towards the city. June tried to stand on her feet as the trailer drove over rocks and wobbled over the dirt rode. Foam and sweat dripped from her nostrils. Blood ran down all four of her legs that had been torn open by the agonizing ropes.
( Ah ok)
Rodney had sneaked onto the back of the truck, he wondered where they were taking June.
The men drove into the city. After driving down a few blocks they turned into an auction. Pulling the trailer against the opening of a pen they parked. One man went to sign up June in the auction while the other two attempted to herd June into the pen. Cowering into the corner of the trailer she became spooked and raced out of the trailer and was trapped inside the pen. Jane tried to turn and buck but the pen was so small that she was unable to move at all. Within a few minutes the man returned with number, and a steaming branding iron held up in his other hand. June was helpless when he came to the pen and pushed the branding iron against her shoulder. She was distracted by the pain in her burning shoulder they she didn't realize he had punctured, and tagged her ear with a number until it was over. With one last look at the helpless creature, and a snicker the men turned, and left.
