Diaval followed Mariam, slowing to look at everything.
She sighed. "When I was three years old my father was shot. The police never found out who killed him, even though there were several witnesses, and later the body disappeared from the police department. One witness was a older man who would come to my mother asking if he could see me, and should would always send him away, and kept me hidden from him. She never told me why, but I knew that she thought he was dangerous." She looked up a Mark to see if he was listening, and took a break to take a breath.

Ember chuckled and looked around. She started sharpening her claws with a file she had in her pocket to get rid of her boredom.

They walked upstairs into a hall. "The door at the end is the bathroom, and the two other doors in the hall are your bedrooms." Mariam said.

A guard came to the door and looked inside the dark room.

"Thank you!" She said sticking out her chin. Astrid began to giggle, then hushed and looked to the humans. But the funny faces that they shot at the couple only made her laugh harder.

Buchanan smiled, "Yes, it must been very scary and confusing to be alone in the world at such a young age." He unbuckled her then held her against his shoulder as he carefully crawled out of the car, making sure not to hit her head. Looking at Carrow he lovingly said in a gentle voice. "I'm glad that she has someone like you to love her as a mother would. I wouldn't know how to comfort her, but it seems to come to you naturally. "

Sonora slowed looked to her, "You remember how you told me that you have lived up here? Well my panther sense tells me that were not safe." She sighed, that must sound very funny. "I know it's weird, but I can sense that something bad is about to happen before it does." She shook her head and looked away.

"Unicorn!" She cried with a squeak as she held back a scream. Looking away she held back tears. Her hand shook furiously, as did the rest of her body, and her hand twitched at the pressure that he applied to her palm. She nodded at his instruction, and bit her lip to keep from sobbing. "I can't move my fingers," She said in a soft, sad voice turning to look him in the eye. "I think a bone broke." With that said she quickly looked down at the ground.

Raine giggled softly," Why Astrid, I do believe you are making a spectacle out of us. What ever shall we do? We may be laughed out of the city. What would we do then? " He inquired dramatically.

Carrow blushed at his kind words. She then focused on him and said, "The attributes you just instilled upon me, already reside deep within yourself. She then brought her hand up to cradle his cheek and ran her thumb across the cheek bone affectionately.

Keira felt the hair at the base of her neck rise. "Sonora, I believe in such things. My mother had the premonition. She was the one that suggested we disband the pack, to live as solo wolves. Is it imminent? How much time does it take to happen?" She asked on a whisper.

Navar had hid his response at her revelation, he hasn't seen that coming. For as out of focus the pictures were, a horn should have been visible. But he pushed that to the side, he had more pressing issues right now. He finally said, "That is not a big matter. I have broken many bones. The important thing is to remove the embedded item and stop the bleeding. After that, you will shift into your hors..I mean, Unicorn form, then back to human. Within the molecular disassembling and reassembling into our alternate selves, the bone will knit and mend in the process. So that when you return to human, the wound will be completely gone. Well, at least it works that way with wild dogs, maybe unicorns are different. Give it a try when you're ready. I have stopped the bleeding. " He slowly stood up and backed up to give her room.

"Oh, I don't know. " She replied in an innocent manner.

Buchanan enjoyed the moment more by closing his eyes, and deeply breathing in her perfume.

Amar shifted into a unicorn, it taking longer then usual. She began to walk, but the limping made it impossible. The pain was so great in her leg, the others trying to compensate for it, that she was almost unable to shift into a human. "I don't think I can shift." She sighed sadly again.

Luce followed after them. "Thank you for helping my brother. It's nice meeting you, Jason." She said with gratitude.


Nashton quietly ran with the group. The couldn't wait to get out of here. He wasn't celebrating anything until they cleared that fence and was in the woods.


Cadeon saw them coming out of the infirmary he breathed a sigh of relief. He then started heading back the way they'd come.

Jason kept Anna and Angela close as they headed for the door to leave this place. Once tehy hit the door, he leld it to get everyone outside "Cadeon, lead them to the hole please" He said, wanting to be sure everyone was out before following them.
