Alika shifted and trotted around the woods. She hid behind a tree and looked at the city longingly. She wanted to go there! It looked so exciting! Why not go there? If she wanted to tell others about the Gods she'd have to go into a populated place, not be alone in the woods. She shifted to her human form and tried to make sure this wasn't a bad idea.

"Okay." She shifted to a human and sat down against the cell wall. A worker walked over and tossed a steak into Fable's cell, and dropped a handful of seeds and wheat through a feeding slot of Wisp's cell.

Fable tore the steak apart, eating it gladly. Though, she wished she could eat that man, fresh meat was always better.

Wisp shifted back to a jerboa and stuffed all the seeds she could into her cheek pouches. She scurried into a hole in her bed and horded the seeds in it. She started busily to make a nest from the long strands of wheat and grasses. She curled up in her nest.

"Men are wicked and greedy. Few have care for the life they destroy but cutting down our forest and rivers." She said coldly, then added, "But it's not all bad. There are fields in which they raise livestock and animals and humans have learned to work together."

Dust shifted to his Warg and waited for Aeval to mount.

Zia sighed thoughtfully. "I am a night creature. I sleep in the day usually and at night I go to town and find food. My friends and I use to play pranks on the dogs and cats or play tag or hide and go seek in the trees. But the trees are gone now." She said sadly, "And I am alone."

"It seems wickedness and greed exists in both realms then. It's often only a balance that keeps either in check." He said thoughtful. He looked closely at Dawn for a long moment. Then smiled genuinely. " You seemed so troubled and weary, when I first saw you. Now, not so much. I am glad that you are much improved." He spoke low. He glanced to Absmi who was across the way, then returned his gaze to Dawn.

Aeval smiled at Dust's gesture and climbed up onto his back.

"Zia, I'm so sorry. I only wished to bring levity and instead, I've brought sadness." Degan said with sympathy.

Aaran smiled to himself, struggling not to laugh. Oh no. The ground around him started to freeze and he struggled to calm down. He didn't want to hurt the humans. He carefully stepped off the icy patch, putting it in between himself and the humans.

Rex noticed the frost patch. He pointed with his eyes, to draw the others attention to it. They all put their hands on their tranquilizer guns.

Dawn looked at him. "So will you be that the ball feast thing later?"
~~~
Dust trotted after the Fay men. He's gait was much smother than usual.
Zia smiled. "Hey, don't worry about it. "
