The Sylph stopped in front of Dawn and bowed his head. "Lady Dawn, I'm to serve as you personal Sylph. There has been an attempt on Princess Star. So Avalon is taking no chances with any of you." He raised his head and was about to hand here a protection pendant, when he noticed she already had one. "From where did you get that?" He asked curiously.

Jackdaw held his tongue. He didn't want to draw attention to himself. He just hoped she didn't say from Jackdaw. He hoped she would call him by a different name.

Degan looked at Zia in pure shock. "YOU DON'T SAY!!! I never would have guessed that about you." He replied stunned. But he broke out in a little chuckle.

Aeval waited until Dust shifted and then started spitting the acid upon the joints in the cage welds. She was pleased to see it bubble up white and making that telltale sizzling sound.

Dawn's eyes widened in alarm. "What do you mean an attempt on Star?!?" her voice was flooded with concern and deep worry. "What about Amar and Navar? Are they safe?!?" She asked frantically.

Zia rolled her eyes and laughed. "Quiet. Before they find us." She said as she tried to stop laughing.

Orson does get distracted easily, especially where Kristen is concerned. )
Orson obediently followed after her. Still holding onto His own hand that was now his beloved Kristen. He made sure to walk like he was on a tightrope with extra flare. He grinned up at Kristen/Orson.

Falkirk frowned again, not sure how to answer her questions. He decided upon, "I know not, why he would do such. You will have to ask him, when we find him. It was said, that he grew to be furious and bitter when you're parents fled. Maybe he is still angry and is taking it out on you now." Falkirk grew silent as he stepped back. Gathering himself, bowed his head and snapped his heels together, in a formal gesture to Star. After a moment, he said with great hope, "Please, Princess Star, let me be your champion. For if you allow me the right to fight for your hand. Even if you didn't feel that way about me. I would fight to free you from this fey. Then I'll step aside, so that you are free to choose your hearts choice. " He stayed in that position, waiting for her reply with baited breath.

Ericsson smiled widely. Her response was promising. He had struck a nerve. "Yes, obvious spot. My mother had very ticklish feet. Almost to the point she would kick you through a wall, if you caught her unaware." He explained as he slowly moved after her.

Aurora and Jackie went outside, followed by the warrior wolves. They found a place and waited for Orson to do his thing with the portal

Kyra chuckled and nodded "It's fine Graydon, you don't have to keep apologizing to me" She said and went back to him to take his hand "Now, onward" She said, pointing out other trees and plants and namming them for him

"Champion?" Star asked then shook her head "Falkirk, I don't want you to get hurt either. I...I like you and I want to get to know you better." She said then paused and looked away from him, turning shy once more. There was so much she didn't know about this place, so much she didn't understand. "Fight for my hand?" She asked quietly then looked at her hand before looking to him again. She walked over to him again, touching his shoulder to get him to stand "Your phrases are strange to me at times, but I think I have heard this one once before. I am not sure if I remember correctly though. I do not want to marry one who would use magic against me"

The Sylph shook his head. "Nothing that drastic. She had magic used upon her, which her pendant blocked. She is now under gaurd. As well as Princess Amar and her intended. I was told to give you this pendant." He held it out to Dawn. He then frowned at Jackdaw. "Who is he? I have never see him before. Is he bothering you, Lady Dawn? " He asked suspicious of how closely he stood next to Dawn.

Aeval and her sisters worked to make a good sized circle. The fist of the joints were already ate through. But the last were still sizzling away. They trusted Dust to provide protection. They didn't even flinched at the loud yelp.

He reached into the jacket pocket and retrieved the small vile of potion. He drank it's entire contents, before he recited the required spell. Just as soon as he finished, a brightly lighted doorway appeared out of nowhere. Orson looked over at Jackie to make sure, he had done it right.

Cadeon stepped back a little. He didn't know what he had expected, but this wasn't it. He looked to Jason wide-eyed.

Luce gasped at the suddenness of the doorway. "Are you sure you'll be able to come back? Is traveling by portal safe?" She asked Jason concerned.

Falkirk was mildly hurt by her assumption that he was the one to get hurt. But he had plenty of time to school his expression, before he looked up into her eyes. "As do I. But that was before I found out that you are spoken for. Avalon is searching the old laws and trying to find a loophole. But that will only buy a short amount of time. Even less, if he formally comes to claim you as his intended. Only a challenge can save you from his claim. Now do you understand the urgency?" Falkirk asked quietly.

Ender who had remained silent, spoke for the first time. "Choose me for your champion. By law, a servant cannot mate a royal. If I parish, you'll loose nothing. If I prevail, you'll gain your freedom unquestionably. It is unprecedented and it has never happened before. but I know the laws like the back of my hand and there isn't one that prevents me from fighting to protect a royal. Just as you, Princess Star, are a royal in great need of protecting."

Falkirk was stunned speechless by Ender's offer. He'd never seen the like.

Aurora stood and walked over to Orson "If you two are finished, we should get going" She said then looked over to Estelle, who would be staying behind here.

She shook her head again then looked to Falkirk again "Can we just go to the waterfall again? He's likely gone for now, isn't he?"

"Not necessarily, but when I beat him then I think the rest of my problems will solve themselves. I am considering trying to become a general but that's not going to happen." He confessed and stopped with her,"I don't have the stomach for it, and even if I warmed up to the idea, the king would never choose me. After I beat him I guess I'll go back to being a servant." He shrugged,"And that's not too bad right?" He sounded like he was trying to convince himself more than anything. "I want the respect that comes with being a general." He couldn't believe he was telling her all this, but he felt like he could trust her.

Kristen blushed,"I'm just giving you an idea of what to do. Just do it and stop teasing!" She massaged her forehead to hide her blush and smile. She liked it when he teased her but she had to act serious.

Elina listened to Aaran quietly. "What is your problems that will solve themselves? Maybe I can be of some assistance." She offered. She then focused on the general part. "And who said Racine wouldn't consider you General material, if you prove yourself worthy. He respects power and you do have that." She added pleasantly.

"My powers entirely rest on this necklace." He poked the pendant,"It makes me very vulnerable. That doesn't seem very powerful to me. I'm just your everyday ice god." He purposefully ignored her question. It was too personal.

Kristen/Orson sighed and followed Orson/Kristen. When he/ she started walking like that she/he blushed then gasped,"ORSON! I do not look like that when I walk!!!!" When he returned she grinned,"We're identical!"

"My powers entirely rest on this necklace." He poked the pendant,"It makes me very vulnerable. That doesn't seem very powerful to me. I'm just your everyday ice god." He purposefully ignored her question. It was too personal.

Kristen/Orson sighed and followed Orson/Kristen. When he/ she started walking like that she/he blushed then gasped,"ORSON! I do not look like that when I walk!!!!" When he returned she grinned,"We're identical!"

Elina smiled pleasantly as she knew she had stepped over a line. "You are far from an everyday ice god. I have met many gods. All, with the exception of one, we're pompous and egotistical. Requiring gifts and sacrifices daily." She said with distaste. She then traced her finger along his neck and down the front of his chest, to where the pendant rested close to his heart. She then rested her head atop his pectoral muscle to listen to his strong heart race. She grinned to herself. It was beating so fast. "You have a warrior's heart, if not the stomach. " She said softly. In no hurry to move away from his masculine scent.

She asked quietly then walked over to Ender to look at him "I was told you are a very good fighter. " She said then looked to Falkirk then to Ender again "I don't want anyone else to be hurt in my name, but if fighting must happen, I know I am not trained for such things. You can be my champion, if that is needed. I do not want to see anyone else die like my parents did" The last was a bare whisper before she turned away again, going inside her room. That was all she knew of protecting, or fighting for her; those who fought to keep her safe ended up dead and now she felt like that is what she had just sentenced him to.

Navar laid back and looked at the ceiling. This was his new normal. Strange fey all around him. After a while he turned to watch Amar sleep. He smiled sweetly at her peacefulness. He took is finger and tucked a stay curl away from her face. She had them slipping out of her beautifully sculpted hair. All do to their merriment. She was a picture of refined purity.

Calystia relished her food in silence.

Aaran's heart raced. He tucked his pendant into his shirt so she wouldn't get hurt by it then sighed happily. Cautiously he tucked some stray hair behind her ear,"I'm glad you think I can do this, princess." His thumb gently brushed her cheek as he lowered his hand again. He protectively put his arm around her and pulled her into a tight embrace. He remembered she was the princess and awkwardly let her go,"I'm sorry your magesty, I just got caught in the moment."
